Andrea0128, The drain will work but you need to make sure that at the end of the drain model number the last 3 digits are .011 for Arctic White to match the tub. Sincerely, your American Standard Consumer Connection Team

American Standard does not set the price for the drain assemblies.
American Standard does not produce a screen to cover the toe tapper. To clean, remove the cap by turning counter-clockwise then back out the brass screw. The mechanism then can be removed to clean out any hair caught on the cross member.
No, the 1583.470 model and the 1640 are not compatible or interchangeable.
This model is plastic.
Please contact our customer care line at 800-442-1902 and let one of our reps help you. We may have to order a new overflow.
It would be best to return that drain and purchase one that will work with your tub.
Please contact customer service directly so that the specification sheet can be emailed to you, we are unable to attach it to this forum.
