This mounting nut is to large in thickness..My vanity has a marble top that's very thick, this want allow the 1/2" HP from the water line to tighten completely. Looking at the picture of this mounting nut, it appears to have space between the four L post and the center threaded area, but there is no space. With this the 1/2 " FP rest against the four L post. Do you have a mounting bolt that's flatter or one with space between the post and the threads?

This does not fit the faucet that I bought at Home Depot, although the Home Depot and American Standard websites seemed to indicate it would.

one of the weak points of American Standard faucets
I have 5 sets of American Standard bathroom sink faucets, and frankly this is one of the weakpoints. These are hand-tighten only. and tend to come loose and need retightening over time. On one of my faucets, there clearance between the faucet and the undermount sink is a little tight, and this nut is essentially useless. I can hand tighten but it strips the threads given it is plastic.

I'm sorry to see you aren't completely satisfied with the mounting nuts for your American Standard faucets. Hand tight is generally acceptable, although if you are careful, a basin wrench could be used to give it another 1/2 turn. If you need further assistance with your American Standard faucet, please visit the American Standard Website, and email us directly through the “Contact Us” section and reference your review. Sincerely Your American Standard Consumer Connections Team. AmericanStandard

This is a nut which - at 3/4" IPS - has no known function. It is utterly useless. It does not - to my knowledge - fit any fawcett ever made, which has been standardized at 1/2" IPS.
