Q:What is the thread size for a "standard broom handle?" I have one of these concrete brooms, as well as several threaded handles and poles I've obtained over the years, and they are ALL different thread sizes. How hard could it be to add something like 3/4 x 6TPI to the specifications?

A:  Hi Ed - Yes the Anvil 24 inch Concrete Broom takes a broom handle with the US standard 3/4-5 ACME thread. 3/4-5 ACME is the US standard NOT 3/4-6 TPI. You mention you have various handles with various size threads. You may be able to discern which is which standard by taking a look at the following link: http://www.spinelli-group.com/thread.htm Hope that helps you and others that have the same question. cheers...

Q:Does it come with a handle or do I need to be it separately? If I have to buy it separately, is it a standard "broom" handle?

ANVIL 24 in. Concrete Broom is a standard broom end without the pole extension. It comes with a threaded standard broom pole hole and holes on either side for a pole bracket stiffener. The broom is sturdy as you'd expect and the bristles are firmly fixed in the wood spine. They have a soft sweep with 3-inche long bristles made of black polypropylene . When run along drying concrete slabs it leaves a textured surface that improves traction on sidewalks and driveways when wet or icy. It is well made and is a good size for that purpose. This broom should be able to take plenty of abuse and hold up on the job site.

Great bristle size on this heavy duty wood broom. This wide width wood construction broom is a solid product for both home and professional use. I added a spare broom handle in the threaded hole, and was able to easily sweep my concrete path. The bristles are very sturdy and will work for general cleanup around the home even though also intended for concrete finishing. The wide width is perfect and well appreciated. Well constructed and manufactured by a name brand.

I received my Anvil 24-inch concrete brush today; this is a well-made brush that will accept a standard broom handle (sold separately). I plan on using this, for now, to sweep out my shop because these concrete brooms work great to sweep up shop debris. If you use this broom to apply a non-slip surface on a concrete slab, you can still also use it as a broom if you clean it up immediately after use. Overall this is a well-made versatile brush/broom.

This was an inexpensive solution for a repaving project on my stoop. Did the job well and kept even lines throughout. When using this be sure to rinse after each use to stop concrete from caking on. I would recommend this to others.
