Q:Can I use my own faucet instead of the one that is included?

A:  The system as constructed is not designed to do that.  That said you could figure something out to divert the flow of your tap water through the filters instead of directly to your faucet.  You could install manual valves or put in a solenoid.  Anything is possible.  I installed the system on my boat and had to figure out how to make it work.  Good luck

    A:  I've had this issue a few times now and just found this use a quarter fix...it works. It seems there's a manufacturing defect in a lot of the replacement sets where the black pre-filter is a few mm shorter than the other two. If you line them up and put a straight edge across the top, it's obvious. It doesn't seal correctly, and the flow is reduced or stopped. Hopefully they've fixed the issue, and it's just back stock being exhausted.

      A:  I had the same problem. It’s caused by a filter that doesn’t fit right. AQ told me to wash a quarter and then put it underneath the black cartridge to hold it up. It works. Would be nice if they actually fixed the problem though.

        A:  I had the same issue and called customer support. They had me use the previous filters one-by-one until we identified the problem - the pre-filter they sent was too short and was stopping the water flow. They sent a new pre-filter that arrived in about a week. Might be the same issue for you.

            may flood house
            Worked fine until the bottom of the filter casing burst and it flooded everything. Not drips but a spray. I discovered a 2nd cannister was beginning to fail as well.

              I had some concerns about the installation. The video guidance on the Aquasana website was a big help. My under-sink space is a bit cramped; I am 81 and not as flexible as I was. I expected a full-day job. I was done with total success in 4 hours -- not rushing. Needed to drill a hole for the new faucet in the existing faucet plate. No problem. A bit awkward to push in the plastic tubing at the end of the install. A bit more video guidance there would have helped. Just used a few days so far. All good, though.

              Great filter system
              The area I live in has municipal water, so I wasn't worried about pathogens or sediment necessarily. However the water treatment plants draw water from the local river, which has had issues with PFAS/PFOA levels due to a local chemical plant. I originally had a water cooler and had 5 gallon jugs delivered from a local company, but it was getting to the point where I would need 9-10 jugs per month. I was tired of lugging them around, not to mention the cost and storage of the containers. I searched for a good under-sink filtration system with a dedicated faucet, specifically one that was ANSI certified for reduction of PFAS. Many of the other products I found state that they are certified, but when I looked on the ANSI website their products/company info was nowhere to be found. Aquasana was one of the only products I found that truly is ANSI certified and you can easily find them on the ANSI website. With the cost of the filtration system itself and the filter changes every 6 months, I would easily save a good chunk of money per year. Shipping was pretty quick, and installation was very straightforward with basic hand tools. The faucet that came with the kit was perfect for what I needed (filling glasses, water bottles, the dogs bowl, etc.) and matched my existing oil rubbed bronze faucet set. Filter installation is a breeze, and I like that you can set up a subscription to have a new set of filters delivered every 6 months. Water quality is outstanding and I like that it filters out the unwanted chemicals without getting rid of the beneficial minerals.

              A few minor tweaks
              It kept leaking when I hung it on the screws Aquasana provided. I found that rotating the green filter slightly and simply putting the filter on contact with the bottom cabinet allowed the water to flow without any leaks. It would save more space to hang it up but I would rather have the product work without leaks at the end of the day.

                No Good Save your Money
                Just installed this filter system today, install was easy but the product is garbage, faucet leaks and water stream is a drizzle. Save you money this product is garbage, we are sending it back. See attached pictures

                  Measuring total dissolved solids (TDS): Aquasana 3-stage: 149 TDS, Unfiltered Water: 118 TDS, PUR water filter: 57 TDS. This new filter is ADDING, not removing contaminants!

                  Hello Dave, TDS, or Total Dissolved Solids, is the amount of dissolved minerals and metals present in water. TDS meters tell you the concentration of dissolved minerals and metals, but are not an accurate measurement for contamination. Aquasana products reduce and remove harmful TDS like lead, but selectively retain or replace healthy dissolved solids like calcium, magnesium, and potassium. If you are interested in seeing the change in contaminants only, we recommend using a water test kit that is not testing for TDS. -Aquasana Customer Support
                    Clean and refreshing
                    The filtered water does taste clean and soothing, very refreshing. The installation was troublesome even for a handyman like myself. Followed the instruction, I had trouble aligning and installing the black filter. When I thought I had it in, it leaks. I came to find out the 2 mating holes in the base unit was 90deg out. Most likely an error at the assembly line. Recommend add to the instructions to check for alignment before installation. See photo. It needs a design change for easier filter replacement. The valve should have been higher to clear the countertop for cleaning.

                    Claryum® 3-Stage - Canister defect
                    Purchased Claryum® 3-Stage five years ago and it worked great, changing the cartridges on a regular basis. Changed cartridges about 3 months ago and no disruptions around the filter. Then one of the canisters bulged on the bottom and started leaking. Luckily we were close when it started to leak. Concern is long term reliability.
