Awesome paint... dries rock hard and low VOC
I used this paint for all my trim and new doors. This stuff is awesome!! I tried several roller brands and naps. I did 3/8 nap, purdy foam and Wooster pro foam. BY FAR the best roller is to get the Wooster cage frame roller with Wooster Pro foam. Almost zero air bubbles and flawless finish. Foam is the way to go to get best finish. I used PPG gripper primer interior/exterior on any raw trim. This paint dries maybe an hour slower than latex, so gives you more time to get it flawless. Wait 24 hours between coats to let paint settle so you get flawless finish. In 2 hours coats are dry to touch. I even put a coat of paint on my exterior side garage door and it dried in 45 degree weather maybe an hour longer is all. It does off gas a little bit for about 3 days. I just leave a window cracked if doing in a bedroom. No big deal. Love this stuff! When drying it doesn't look flawless but is when dry. The satin is a true satin by the way and gives a expensive look.

Bought this on recommendation from Home Depot staff to paint cabinets. Was told to spray it which did not work out well as it is very thick. Upon relaying this on to another staffer afterwards they said that spraying was not a good application. If you use it roll it. I found it to be too long to dry and hard to work with. Wish I had used regular paint.

    Hi Urethane,

Thank you for your review, and I am sorry to hear you had difficulties applying the paint. The product can be sprayed on with an airless sprayer using a .013"-.017" spray tip and 60 mesh filter. Although your project sounds like it has been completed, please reach out to us directly; we'd love the opportunity to turn this experience around for you. -Edith Behr

      Frustrated
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a dresser with a laminate top and this paint was recommended. I cleaned and scuff-sanded the top, and painted two layers of primer on it. I read the directions carefully and used a foam roller to paint a thin first coat. After 5 hours, a painted the second coat in the same manner. I let it dry overnight. I noticed that one side of the dresser was fairly smooth, but the other side didn't match. I then painted on a third coat, being very careful to avoid any roller marks. The next morning, again, the side I painted first looked pretty good, but the other side, which was painted immediately after, looked different - there was a sort of line of demarkation between both sides. So, today, I painted a FOURTH coat, trying my darndest to use long strokes that started at one end and went to the other end. I will see in the morning, but I am not hopeful. It seems like if you can't paint the entire surface in long, continuous strokes before even the tiniest of drying set in, you're screwed. You simply cannot "overwork" this at all, which is kind of what you do when you paint walls and such, in an effort to make sure the paint has spread evenly. DON'T try that with this paint. I'm so frustrated and ready to strip the whole dang thing and try something else.

        Beautiful finish
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I painted a bathroom vanity with this paint. I was very nervous about doing this but it turned out beautiful. It has been several months since I painted the vanity and it is holding up very well.

            Beautifully self leveling
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased about 2 months ago to paint a metal exterior cellar door. It was recommended to me by the paint specialist. It exceeded expectations. Went on beautifully, very smooth, no brush or roller lines. Even around the detail work where I had to use a small paintbrush, it blended beautifully. Actually didn’t need a second coat, but I did one anyway. Very easy cleanup, minimal smell. Excellent product for anyone who does not have great confidence in their painting skills. So far the door still looks brand new through extreme heat, wild storms, and dry conditions in between. Will be painting my exterior doors in a different colors.

                Horizontal Surface
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I know the recommended use of this product does not include horizontal surfaces but I used it anyway. This is the second time I have painted our covered porch floor. Lasted about 3 years which was my fault. Didn't prime and went on over treated wood. Looked really cool though. Dry brushed and was thrilled with the finish. This summer rolling on after power washing. Paint is certainly meeting my expectations. Will continue on with the front porch.

                    Great workability
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought 24 gallons to have on hand because of product shortage, used for first time on a repaint of townhome, used 8 gallons for project painted doors/trim crown molding and cabinets we roll and brush that excellent leveling used Penetrol with it. We sprayed the plantation shutter 24 pair, looked like a glass finish. Highly recommend this paint, fyi I've been painting for 39 years I'm a contractor
