Would this fit over an outlet?

AnswersNo, it wont fit over an outlet. It is a cover for just sealing a wire junction box. To use on an outlet, you would need the cover that has the outlet holes in it, and if used outside, one with spring loaded covers over the outlet.

Met all expectations. I used it outdoors and spray painted to the color of my choice to blend in. This is mounted with 4 screws instead of the usual 2, which makes the seal more waterproof than the 2-screw metal plates. (Yes I compared. It replaced a new metal 2-screw plate which leaked.)
