Black Magic Cal-Mag Supplement is designed to work with Black Magic liquid nutrients to give plants an extra boost of calcium and magnesium. Added calcium and magnesium are beneficial to help optimize plant nutrition and enhance growth of calcium-intensive plants. These additional nutrients also help against secondary nutrient deficiencies, such as tip burn or blossom end rot.

Q:As part of a drain-to-waste nutrient program, what is the best way to dispose of the drained waste water/nutrient mix?

A:  Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their answer is,"There a few ways that this can be done. You can use the nutrient-rich wastewater in your potted plants, but if you do this, we heavily suggest diluting it with an equal amount of tap water.Another option is to pour it down the drain, as the pipes in your house are capable of handling the high levels of nutrients in the wastewater. Water treatment facilities clean the water, removing the nutrients before it goes back into circulation. Another option though you would have to research it further as it would cost money to install but you can install/invest in a system to purify your wastewater. "

      A:  Calcium Magnesium is a supplement intended to be added directly to the existing nutrient solution in the reservoir. Jonny, we do not recommend pre-mixing this with a liquid fertilizer. How and when you use the Black Magic Cal-Mag Supplement will depend on your plants growth stage and your growing method. Check the label for specific instructions.

        A:  Hi, dilute this in a bucket of water, about 1/2 cup to 1 gallon. There are instructions on the back. Then pour the mixed water around the base of the plants. It will help your plants grow bigger and stronger, more tasty tomatoes. Good luck.

        A:  We recommend 1-1.5 teaspoons for every gallon of water depending on the growth stage of your plants.
