About This Product

The Ariana Planter by Bloem waters plants when you're not looking and helps keep your plants from drying out. Perfect for busy plant parents looking for a low maintenance solution to keep their favorite herbs, tropical houseplants, and trees happy and thriving when used indoors! Its versatile yet traditional style and rolled lip make it perfect for use indoors and outdoors, perfect for any gardener. Looking to use it outdoors? We recommend drilling into the suggested knockout drainage holes located at the bottom of the pot. This allows excess water to seep and helps prevent root rot during rainstorms.

Highlights

  • Holds up to 6 gallons (24 quarts) of potting mix
  • Constructed of high-quality, durable, fade-resistant plastic resin
  • Self-watering disk included - the disk helps to store reserved water, which can be used up by the plants at a later time
  • Sealed bottom to prevent leakage indoors
  • Optional drill-out drainage holes when used outdoors
  • Safe for growing fruits, vegetables, and herbs (plastic code 2 and 5)
  • Proudly made in the USA

Q:How much water do you use initially when you first pot the plant?
    by|Dec 28, 2023
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  Hello, thank you for your question! It will depend on the soil's saturation once you start watering your plant in the pot. If your planters are indoors then we suggest you start by adding just enough water to saturate 60-75% of the soil. For indoor plants, you'll want your soil to stay moist to the touch for 1-2 days and then drier to the touch for 1-3 days (depending on the plant).

Q:how do you knock out drainage
        by|Aug 17, 2023

        Answer This Question

A:  Hello, thanks for asking! On the outer bottom of the Ariana planter are several suggested knockout drainage areas, marked with "x". Use a screwdriver (Flat or Philips head will do!) and apply pressure on the "x"s until they pop out. Alternatively, this process can be done with an electric drill instead of a screwdriver.

I bought four and then three more. This is a handsome pot, I love the muted terra cotta color and the sturdiness but lightness. I potted some shishito peppers in four of them and have them out on our brick patio. The plants are growing well, and I bring them in on some chilly nights thanks to their light weight. I’m not one to rave about pots, but I am :-)

Love this size and color of pots. They fit perfectly inside our heavy concrete pots. When season's change, we change flowers.
