Gas connector used for natural and LP gas appliances
Moderate demand gas ranges, cook-tops, and water heaters
Safety+Plus2 TEFV valve protects against fires and explosions
Product Details
BrassCrafts Safety+PLUS2 gas connector combines patented excess flow technology and thermal heat activation with the advanced corrosion resistance, to provide a safer gas connector for your home and family. In the event of a gas line rupture or disconnect, the excess flow valve (EFV) restricts gas flow at the appliance to a non-hazardous level. This immediate action helps avert the potential for a dangerous release of gas into the home. Gas is controlled only at the point where the problem exists; the rest of your system will continue to function. Safety+PLUS EFV automatically resets once the gas line is properly repaired. The thermal component utilizes a thermal ring that will restrict the flow through the valve when the valve is exposed to temperatures of 400F or more. BrassCraft's stainless steel gas connector also features a proprietary polymer coating designed to withstand prolonged exposure to harsh household cleaning, plumbing repair and masonry products as well as UV rays and salt. Unlike conventional dipped or sprayed coatings, the ProCoat coating is baked directly on the connector surface at high temperatures to provide a uniform coating over the entire length of the connector. The coating is applied only after the connector has been 100% leak tested to provide complete corrosion resistance.

A: absolutely

A: No it not made for that. They do made one for natural gas it is flexible. For LP gas you need to use 3/8 inch soft copper with flare fitting if you do not know how to do hire a plumber

A: Hello Shamin,
Thank you for your question. This gas connector is for use on 4-burner gas ranges, cook-tops, dryers and water heaters, Connectors and fittings can be used with natural gas, LP gas (propane) and LP gas-air mixtures. Most cities require a gas ball valve to be installed within easy reach, no more than 6 feet from the appliance. Always check your local codes to see if they differ. You should always ensure that use of this connector meets all Brasscraft application specifications. If you have any other questions, please contact our Customer Support Team at 877-272-7755 for assistance.

A: Hello TJ - Thank you for your question. We would require more information to determine if our Connector is designed for that use. Please contact our Customer Support Team at 877-277-7755 and reference this review.
Hello TJ,
It sounds like you are trying to describe your appliance that has a sediment trap integrated into the appliances control valve. That sediment trap is a T fitting with three nipples that form the T shape of a sediment trap. For a sediment trap to work, the gas stream must cut a 90. I don’t see that in the note as I read it.
So back to basics…..
1. There must be a manual shutoff within 6 feet of the furnace.
2. A sediment trap must have a “drop leg” and a “cap”
3. A gas connector can be attached to a sediment trap.
4. Sediment is separated by the gas turning a corner and sediment falling out.
5. For the exact configuration of the system, she/he needs to review local codes as there are different requirements by region.
I received this information from our gas engineer/
Thank you,
Dale W.

BrassCraft's ProCoat stainless steel gasBrassCraft's ProCoat stainless steel gas connector is engineered with added safety in mind. The proprietary polymer coating is designed to withstand prolonged exposure to harsh household chemicals, UV rays and salt. ProCoat is applied to the corrugated stainless steel connector using advanced powder-coat technology. Unlike conventional dipped or sprayed coatings, the ProCoat coating is baked directly onto the connector surface at high temperatures to provide a uniform coating over the entire length of the connector. The coating is applied only after the connector has been 100% leak tested, prior to nut and fitting assembly. This process results in the most complete corrosion resistance available.View Full Product Description
