Well constructed product, appearance and finish is superior to standard vents, compact size is a plus (doesn't look out of place on roof), easy to install on new or existing roof.
One with a piece of 4 inch vent pipe attached so you could attach vent tubing would be a nice option.
This item was available online only in my area, in stock was the complete vent kit, did not need complete kit, would be nice if this item was stocked, but easy enough to get online.

I would recommend but the instructions need more info.
The vent comes with a bird screen which needs to be removed if used as a dryer vent. It will get blocked with lint in less then 2 months if not removed. Your instructions say nothing which leads me to believe it is not approved as a dryer vent. Either come out and say this vent is not for dryer use or state that the bird screen must be removed if used as a dryer vent.

Thank you for your review on the model 636 roof cap. Our caps are designed for use as ventilation fan termination caps only. It may, however, be used to terminate the ducting for a clothes dryer IF the bird screen is removed since lint built-up on the screen could pose a safety hazard. This conditional approval is given only if the clothes dryer manufacturer's instructions permit roof ducting.
Since we do not manufacturer these caps to be used with a clothes dryer, we do not list this in the installation instructions. The normal application for these caps would be as a termination cap for a bath fan.

I like that it's made of metal - you don't...
I like that it's made of metal - you don't have to worry which roofing caulk/adhesive you use (the plastic competitor requires a non-asphalt based elastomeric caulk, otherwise the plastic's lifespan will be degraded).
The mesh grate (critter prevention) isn't securely attached - only friction fit, and can pop out of place when handling for installation. Probably not a major complaint, but that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.
I like it enough that I've purchased and installed a couple.
