On the Kaylee Brookside adjustable headboard, how much of the actual upholstered portion show above my mattress if my measurements from floor to top of mattress is 27”? And, can this headboard be used as a free standing one?
The headboard is adjustable from 36" to 46" in height. Since your mattress height is 27", the upholstered portion of the headboard will show between 9" to 19" above your mattress, depending on the chosen height setting. While the headboard *can* be freestanding, it's designed to be attached. It includes hardware for attaching to most bed frames or mounting directly to the wall.
What us the height of the headboard padded area not including the railing? What is the distance from the floor to the bottom of the headboard padding if the headboard is place on it lowestest adjustable setting?
I have two single metal frames in which I had placed a cal king mattress by putting together. Can I fix this head board to it. Will it come with extra screws and any mounts for adjusting it.
Will a King size fit a Cal King mattress?
Yes, this headboard is designed to fit both King and California King size mattresses.
How much does it weigh?

This does not weigh 25 lbs. If it weighs 10 lbs I'd be surprised. I think a gallon of milk weighs more than this headboard.
