I have a walk in shower, and the windows are glass , they had a lot of soap scum , I applied CLR let it sit for 5 minutes and rinsed. This is the beat cleaner ever

If I refill this spray bottle from a gallon jug of CLR will it produce foam?

Answer

The CLR Calcium, Lime and Rust Remover in the gray container is a different formula than our CLR Bath & Kitchen Cleaner and should not be put into a spray bottle. Under the CLR brand, we have 14 different products, each one is formulated to remove different types of stains.

we have hard water stains from our sprinkler on our outside windows which product would remove them

Answer

You can use either our CLR Bath & Kitchen Cleaner or a 50/50 solution (equal parts) of CLR Calcium, Lime and Rust Remover and warm water). If using the CLR Bath & Kitchen Cleaner, we recommend spraying the product into a damp sponge, not directly on the windows and hand applying the product. Apply to the GLASS ONLY part of the windows (avoiding any contact with the frame, trim or track of the window as our product is not usually compatible with those materials). When applying using the diluted solution of the CLR Calcium, Lime and Rust Remover, the best method is to dip a sponge into the solution, squeezing out any excess to avoid dripping and hand applying the product to the glass only. After our product has been sitting on the stains/glass for no longer than 2 minutes, take a clean sponge and clear cold water using the same method to hand remove our product from the glass. Do not spray the glass as you are certain to get our product on materials not intended. Note: Due to the natural density and hardness of calcium as a mineral, if you are unable to scrape any residue off topically using a fingernail or razor blade, the calcium can actually etch the glass and embed itself into the material of the glass. If this has happened, there is no remedy for this.

Can this be used safely on a man-made countertop? How about slate?

CLR Kitchen & Bath Cleaner
Customer review from jelmar.com logo
Nothing I tried got rid of the brown stain that I had in my porcelain enamel sink. (I keep it full for Leonard, my cat. Don't ask..) Even cleanser and a scrubber sponge didn't entirely get rid of the stain. I bought the CLR Kitchen and Bathroom cleaner and the stain was gone immediately with no effort. This stuff is great, I'll never be without it. The sink is cleaner now than when it was new. ;) L.W.

I honestly (sorry!) have never even heard of CLR. My husband brought it home to tackle some rust and calcium. Worked awesome. Then, I used it for more general cleaning (shower, etc.). Love it. Due to its strength, won’t need it every daily clean. But it is soooo good.

This Stuff is the TRUTH!
Had a rust stain on a porcelain toilet for about 8 years - don’t judge me! Tried everything to get it off: Clorox, Pine Sol, Scrubbing Bubbles, you name it, no luck. About 10 squirts of this stuff, a Brillo pad, and some elbow grease and eureka! Gone! Best purchase of 2017!
