Love it. Exactly what I wanted even though it’s a little smaller than usual Carhartt stuff, fits great. Comfortable.

Should be ‘5 star’, but…
…unfortunately the zipper keeps getting stuck in that pivotal area approximately where one’s neck and collarbone meet. You can zip it up just fine, but forget about unzipping it— at least, not without having to fiddle with it for the next five minutes. This alone keeps this jacket from being 4 or 5-star rated. Hopefully, this is just an issue with my jacket. But I worry maybe not, as the jacket is ‘stiff’ (yet thin), which may may be a contributing factor. Maybe/hopefully it just needs to get broken in? As others mention, while it does feel ‘paper thin’ somewhat, strangely this DOES NOT detract from blocking the windchill and keeping you warm, and is one of the lightest, yet warm jackets you will own, IMHO. It’s almost reminiscent of a high-quality windbreaker. Only much warmer (and better looking). It is just really, REALLY unfortunate about the zipper constantly getting stuck at that one spot consistently.
Imagine walking in from the cold to do some shopping, and having to spend the next five minutes trying to unzip it or begin to slowly ‘roast’ as you walk around indoors. It is just unnecessarily annoying for a jacket of this price, let alone a quality Carhartt jacket. It’s also worth mentioning that the size runs just a bit short in the arms, and with ‘puffy-er’ sleeves than other comparable tall sizes, at least to me, so just be aware. Hardly a deal breaker for me. Can’t speak to the ‘regular’ sizes, perhaps they’re better/longer. Can’t speak to its durability either, as I’ve only owned it for a short time. (This is just personal preference, it might be a great fit for you/others, I’m admittedly a big guy). Will update this review if anything significantly changes later. All in all, a decent jacket that could have been ‘great.’

My New Favorite Spring Jacket
I have only had it for two weeks, but I love it. I am and owner operator of equipment and am wanting chothes that I can work in and still look professional in. I feel this jacket does that. I have used it beyond its inteded purpose and am impressed. I took it on a 4 day raft trip in the 40 degree days and it nearly completey blocked all gusts in from evening winds.
Periodic hard and light rain was not an issue at all and was impermmiable. I like the attenion to detail, such as hidden hood adjustments, metal drain holes in the open breast pocket, which I like over something with a flap top or excessive zippers. Also, the zippers and pockets rock.
I would say that this is not a jacket I would want to do rough, damaging labor in. Not that it isn't durable, I think it is, but the material just isn't intednded to be drug throught the dirt like some other garments. I will absolutly run my dump truck, or other equipment on a cool spring day or evening, but I think dust might show up easily on this jacket, especially in the black, which is on point. Its just the way the material is and thats fine. I do think they fit a bit on the large end of normal. I usually fit a medium in most jackets, but this is a tight SM on me. The medium was just a little too baggy for my liking. A snug fitting hoodie or fleece sweater can still fit under the jacket, but just barely. No shrinking when washed on cold and I am a slim, 5'10 build.
I Recommend this jacket.

It's great for heavy rain, and even went through a hail storm a week after purchase.
Would recommend layering with flannel shirt, or sweater, if your going to be out in temps under 38' Fahrenheit.
