Q:Can it be cut at store? Sold by the foot?

Answer This Question

A:  It’s sold by the roll, however you can purchase shorter rolls.

by|Dec 24, 2022

A:  It is easily cut with knife or hacksaw. I don't think it's sold by the foot. It's always measure twice and add 5% for mistakes!

        Answer This Question

A:  3x lines of cat6 will be no issue. Obviously you can’t pull 3x through with the ends terminated though, you must terminate after pulled through.

Just say yes to Smurf Tube! I've been using this stuff for years when I need to run network cables in places that need protection. Most recently, I needed to run drops in a very old hardware store where the only way to get the cables to the location was going through a dirt crawl space that is not weather sealed. I have 3 90º turns and some other funny angles. and the two cables pulled through the 80' of conduit as smooth as could be. The rib construction helps greatly reduce friction. Pro Tips: Secure it every 4 to 5'. You can hook a shopvac to one end, tie a small wad of some kind string, and suck it right though the tube. Stick with the 3/4", even if you only need the 1/2", it can helps things pull better. If things are pulling a bit hard, you can use pulling wax/gel, but hand soap or gel hand sanitizer works well, too. For the 3/4", 1-1/8" hole is the perfect size for it to slip though but remain snug. If your penetration goes between inside and outside, seal around it with silicone.

I have never had any issues with nonmetallic tubing from home depot. I only bought this because my distributor was out of inch and a half nonmetallic tubing. Home Depot really needs to stock all sizes of tubing in their stores.
