StarPro Centipede Ultra is our designer turf and a great choice for creating maintenance-free front and back lawns. It looks like real grass because 1.6 in. field green and apple green grass blades are held upright by an interwoven tan and green thatch. This synthetic turf features new C and S shaped blade profiles that stand straighter, especially when infilled with sand. This is a dense grass with 60 oz. of grass blades per square yd. There are 1/2 in. drain holes every 3 in. so rainfall passes through at 50 in. per hour. It’s ideal for outdoor areas where you need a beautiful lawn that doesn’t require watering or mowing or where it’s hard to grow natural grass. It’s environmentally safe. Grass blades are UV stabilized to help grass withstand sunlight without color fading so it maintains a natural look as a thick freshly mowed natural lawn. - Grass can be cut with a box cutter razor or utility knife from the back side. Grass pieces are joined using StarPro seam tape (sold separately) with tubes of Liquid Nails Fuze It All Surface Construction Adhesive. Align joined pieces so the direction (grain) of grass blades is in the same direction
- Infilling the blades with 1/2 in. of medium to coarse sand is highly recommended because it stands the blades up, cools, adds weight, softness and extends life
- This is a Custom Order. Grass is sold in 15 ft. wide rolls in any length you desire. If your desired length is 5 linear ft., order quantity is 5, and then 5 ft. x 15 ft. wide roll = 75 square ft. of grass. Use the calculator on this page to determine # of ft. you need

AnswersI haven't had it long enough to know what happens, but it looks very durable and it doesn't seem like it's a yearly replacement product. You can blow leaves from it or rake them. You can shovel the snow off the top, or leave it. Acts like real grass without the mowing, weeding, and there's no MUD when it rains!
To cover a 15x20 area, you would have to make the quantity 20 correct?

Look like the real thing
Excellent in every category sounds like I am too easy to please but that is not the case. The turf is every bit as good as I hoped it would be and it looks like a very well manicured lawn. The weight and feel is obvious quality and the backing has small drain/aeration holes about every four inches. I had a small area to cover (2.5 ft. x 12 ft.) so did the installation myself. A tape measure, box cutter, and heavy duty scissors was all I needed. Once the blades are brushed up they stay in place. If you walk on it the blades do go down but partially rise on their own. I reset the blades with a broom but even if I didn't, the overall appearance is still very good.

A dog owner's dream grass.
I ordered this on Homedepot.com and would've preferred to see it in person; however, I am very pleased with its look. It was easy to install, and looks great in my patio space. The lawn mowers almost entered my patio area to mow it, it looks so real. Easy to maintain, as pet solids scoop up easily and if necessary wash right away with the hose. I'm very pleased that I won't have brown spots as a result of having a pet. It does get quite warm in the summer sun, but is holding up well. If you have a small area and a pet, or just prefer not to mow or weed, this product is for you. My photos show a before look with rock, and an after photo with the new grass.

amazing depth if color
I had my turf delivered to my local home depot and my landscapers picked it up and installed it. I tested it. We made a zen area, an outside carpet of grass that I lie down on. This turf is soft, deep in color, looks gorgeous, not fake. It has its own thatch...it looks like a perfectly trimmed, well fertilized, well watered, healthy, bug free piece of heaven. I love it!

VERY real looking grass and easy DYI project
I just installed this grass in my condo courtyard where it is too shady for regular grass and too sunny for shade grass. Nothing would grow there. This is the perfect solution for my front court yard. The before and after are unbelievable. VERY real looking with the brown "thatch" down in the grass.

Very happy with my purchase. We actually used it on our balcony/deck rather than an area rug which only covers so much space. It looks very really and makes it so pleasant to walk out on barefoot and our little ones love playing on it and laying on it.

Very pleased with the results! Needed a realistic "grass " to use around paving stones in my court yard. It was a little time consuming to install because It had to be cut in strips. But it looks great and we've had people think it's actual turf when they see it.
