What is the length of the lift cables? How is the 7 foot different from the 8 foot kit?

I have a 14 x 7' insulated door with steel on both sides. I estimate this door to be approximately 200lbs. It currently has a dual spring configuration on each rail. I want to convert it to a single spring configuration. What do I need to buy?

Will this kit work on Amarr Garage Doors?

The picture of what is included shows two sets of cables, the safety cable and the lift cable. Does it indeed come with both of these? One of the questions from 2021 is answered in a way that makes it sound like it does not come with both. Thanks.

Is this a rebuild kit for an existing extension spring setup?
This kit is a conversion kit for a 7 ft. high garage door and includes pulleys, cables, and fasteners. It does *not* include springs.

The listed instructions and assembly links do not show how to install the extension springs and pulleys. Why?
Once you buy the springs, the instructions are going to be with the springs. Cheers!

What gauge or thickness are the cables and how long are they? Your description is lacking tons of information and there is conflicting information about whether or not this kit includes the safety cables.
Hi Timber, this kit includes cables that are 1/8" in dia. and are long enough for any door 7' high or less. The kit includes safety cables (1/8" dia) and the sheaves (pulleys) are 3" . Thanks for shopping the Home Depot, the Clopay team
Does this work for the 16 ft x 7 ft garage door?
Hi Gary, Theoretically this will work but you will need the proper extension springs for weight of your existing door. Most 16x7 doors use torsion springs for better operation. Thanks for shopping the Home Depot, the Clopay team
