AnswersI had a similar problem with mine, I contacted Coast Products customer service by email- they responded promptly- asked a few questions, and sent me a replacement light. You do not need receipt or paperwork. They advertise a lifetime warranty.

The Polysteel case makes this flashlight light but tough and durable. I like the side flood lights that fills in a room with light. It has a flashing red colored light mode that serves as a warning device. The magnet at the end cap makes it handy to have itself attach to magnetic things. Using 4 AA batteries to power this flashlight is convenient as most stores would have these in stock rather than D or C batteries. Coast also sells a lithium rechargeable pack for longer running times. The light from the LEDs have a slightly yellow hue to it. Overall, I like the build quality and the utility value of it.

This is a heavy duty flashlight. It is made out of a heavy weight plastic/rubber material. It withstands drops and heavy wear and tear. The bottom of the flashlight has a strong magnet, so it it can actually stick to a metal object and stay there that way you don't have to hold it. There are two areas that light up. The top like most flashlights lights up. However, the side also lights up as well providing even more light.

I'm a big fan of Coast lights, having collected a few of them over the years. This one is is great! Light output is excellent. The beam is adjustable, with the head requiring a rather firm twist in order to adjust it. When focused, the spot beam projects light a good ways and the flood pattern can easily light up a whole room. In addition to the main beam, the area lights that are built into the body great. They are very bright, though the light output from them has a somewhat harsh yellow light along the edges which seems to be caused by the lens as the LED strips are not perfectly centered.
Construction is solid. Body is metal with a plastic overmold. The tailcap has a magnet built into it that lets you stick the light onto metal surfaces, though the magnet's grip is somewhat weak. As far as controls go, the flashlight has two buttons: one for the main beam and the other for the area lights. Not a huge fan of the buttons - finding them on the body takes some getting used to since they're kind of recessed.
And finally: battery life. I've used it for 2-3 hours so far at various settings. Have not noticed any decrease in light output. Coast makes a rechargeable battery for this model. It's probably a good investment if you plan on using it often.

This was ordered online and shipped to my home without issue, but it's a flashlight and it's pretty resilient.
This flashlight is pretty nice and is loaded with plenty of features. The housing is nice and sturdy and has an aluminum body. There is also a magnet on the end of the flashlight so you can stick it up as a shop light or if you just want to store it someplace out of the way.
The main light is a single LED with a magnified lens to enhance the light beam. The main light has 3 setting of brightness. The handle also has two LED strips on each side. each strip has 2 sets of lights 13 white LED's and 6 red LED's There are 4 settings for this light set. push the button once, you get a one side of white LED's. and second click is both sides of white LED's. a 3rd button push will get you just the red LED's. and the 4th push will cause the red LED's to blink.
All in all this is great LED flashlight.

This is brightest and most versatile flashlight that I have owned. I am 80 so that includes a lot of flashlights- from oil lanterns, to small square 6 volt batteries on up to the LED's of today. This flashlight has 3 brightness levels- medium, high and low plus the beam of light can be focused by twisting the lens. It also has two side work lights to illuminate an area. They can be switched to red lights or flashing red lights- all the lights are led's so there is extended battery life. It is powered by 4 AA batteries- and the manufacturer sells a rechargeable power pack if you want to go that route. I have one of these Coast lights now- but am planning on getting a 2nd one- one for my truck and the other for my home. We live in a rural area and it is not unusual to lose our electricity for short periods of time- the Polysteel 700 will provide all the light we need during those short outages. And to top it off- it is water proof, crush proof and drop proof with a poly coated stainless steel core.

This flashlight is, like many LED flashlights, very bright. It has a good beam that, even in spot mode, provides some wide beam as well. The main beam has three brightness levels, the dimmer modes provide longer battery life.
As well as the primary beam, it has two side LED sets. A second switch controls these. One press gets you one of these sides on in white, a second press turns on both sides in white, third press gets you a steady red light, and the fourth press gets you a flashing red light. Good use of space to put these extra lights on the side of the barrel.
This is not a metal flashlight, it combines a stainless steel core with a grip-textured poly-nylon exterior. It also has a magnetic tail cap. It is also weather-proof.

I wanted to get a waterproof LED flashlight for use on my boat. I also wanted to get a durable light that could be used for signaling help at night if needed. The Coast Polysteel 700 flashlight was a perfect light. It is very solidly constructed, it is waterproof and has both a bright 800 Lumens white flash light and a red flashing emergency signal mode. There are actually 7 light modes, the flashlight has 3 settings; High, Medium and Low white light. You can also twist the front lens to change the flashlight focus to spot or flood light. The side LED light bars on each side of the handle have 4 settings; white light left side, white light right side, red light both sides and flashing red light light both sides. The flashlight has a great feel in your hand and the rubberized button have a nice positive clicking action. The flashlight can operate on either standard 4-AA alkaline batteries (Included) or a Coast ZITHION-X rechargeable battery (Purchased Separately). This is a great light to have around in your home, auto, boat or camping trips.

This flashlight has all the bells and whistles and is built for work. It is super sturdy (a polysteel case), super bright (up to 800 lumens) and best of all, waterproof (guaranteed at 10 feet for 6 hours). If you have the right setup, you can even recharge the batteries. It's kind of a beast to carry, but it has a place where you can add a strap. It doesn't seem to be magnetic, but it will stand by itself if you need to use the emergency blinking lights. Definitely great for camping, the car and any place that experiences power outages.
