The 5 Day Guarantee is more like 10 hours.
I was hoping this would be the one, but just like my ex, I was sadly mistaken. After reading some not-so-good reviews, I still decided to give this cooler a chance. Before going on an upcoming camping trip, I wanted to test the 5-day guarantee, so I placed a bag of ice in the cooler and set it in my kitchen, with an inside ambient temperature of 75°. However, nearly the entire bag was melted less than 10 hours later. The wheels are wobbly, and like others have stated, the handle is extremely flimsy. Is this really the quality that Coleman stands behind? I'm extremely disappointed and now have to go through the hassle of making a return, but this time I will buy a different brand. I do not recommend this cooler.

Needs improvements
cooler flew open twice after snapping upright while being pulled, not sure if from the flimsy handle when cooler is full or poor design flaw. We had to get creative and used a suitcase strap to keep lid closed and from flipping itself.

Not the quality I was expecting
I received this cooler as a Christmas present and have only used it twice. The handle is very flimsy and the drain plug would not stay in the drain hole therefore when we rolled the cooler using the wheels it appears the drain plug got damaged. Can not even use the cooler anymore since when the ice melts water gets everywhere. Very poor design with the placement of the drain! Very disappointed in this cooler.

Good size but handle easily broke
Had this cooler for months and then the handle started sticking and wouldn’t release to the up position. Finally the handle just completely detached. Can’t find the replacement part. Perfect size cooler durable but the handle need a upgrade!

5 hour cooler
This is supposed to be a 5 day cooler that is a joke. I've used it for about 2 months in a range of conditions and never keeps ice over 24hrs. On one occasion I put 40lbs of ice in it and that went about 36hrs maybe. Very disappointed it must defective if not it is very poor quality it has become the joke of the camping group "coleman 5hr coolers"

Does not keep ice
Even with Temps around 65 to 75, ice will not last longer than a day. I purchased the bigger extreme also and it will at least keep ice for 3 days.

This is not the experience that we want you to have. Coleman recommends using .75 lbs. of ice per rated quart of the coolant. We highly recommend using cubed ice.
For best performance, always pre-chill food and drinks.
Two six packs or one gallon (3.7L) of liquid will use approximately 2.5 lbs. (1.13kg) of ice just to cool from room temperature. So plan ahead and cool off everything before you head out. You can even empty a few trays of ice into the cooler to pre-chill its interior.

Good cooler; brittle handle
We use our cooler most weekends to transport food. It works fine, but the handle doesn’t make the cut. It extends and retracts with much difficulty and sometimes comes out of it’s telescopic tracks. It takes a lot of effort to get it reconnected. Sometimes I have to store it differently than it’s designated place.
