Is this considered a stiff board. like will it bow at the middle easily if only using two support...

Asked by Joshua July 29, 2020

It is stiff, it is 3/4" veneer core plywood. I would like to get some more information from you though. Give me a call at 336-291-5869 if you would like to discuss. Thanks -- Michael

Would this be good to cut to custom as shiplap to wrap bottom portion kitchen cabinets? Having difficulty finding 1/4 inch shiplap.

Asked by Sara June 23, 2020

It's 1/4" plywood, and it's very clean with no knot holes. I used it for cabinet doors, the middle inserts! The white coloring is like a wash, so you need to coat it better!

I am thinking about cutting this panel down to make cabinet doors and drawer fronts. Can the pan...

Asked by Niska June 14, 2020

You can rout the edges of these panels. Give me a call at 336-291-5869 if you'd like to discuss details. Thanks -- Michael

I want to use the Free Custom Cut feature to create three 1' x 4' shelves out of a 4' x 4' panel....

Asked by Amer April 4, 2020

Please enter the size of each cut piece you want. For this order, you would just enter 12" x 48" four separate times. If you get this error, it may be accounting for the saw kerf, the material the saw removes with each cut. If this occurs, just adjust each width down slightly, try entering 11 3/4" x 48" four times. If you continue to have issues, contact me at mhale@cfpwood.com and I'll be happy to help.

How much does it weigh? Can this be wiped clean?

Asked by Chloe March 27, 2020

Each panel weighs approximately 6 lbs.

What is the weight of a 3/4" x 4' x 4' sheet

Asked by Ron February 17, 2020

This panel weights approximately 36 lbs.

Can this be used for kitchen countertops? And would it need to be painted white?

Asked by Tony November 2, 2019

We do not typically recommend this product for that type of application. Contact Michael at 336-291-5869 if you'd like to discuss this in more detail. Thanks.

Is the primer compatible with polyurethane paints?

Good for painted projects, but not ready-to-display
This plywood was dead flat, even after leaning at an odd angle against my workbench for over a week. The surface is continuous and free of positive material. The primer appears to have filled the knots, but it does not hide them. I didn't paint the project I used them for, but it looks like this primer would go a long way to keeping the oil from the knots bleeding through, requiring less paint, which would save time and money on larger projects.

Handy size
This panel is a handy size to work for smaller projects. I had a project where I needed to construct a sidewall to support several large, thin boxes of equipment. (A bookend so to speak). The panel was just the right size. I did not have to cut it at all. And because it was primed, it saved lots of time because it was ready to paint. Please note that while the plywood is primed on both sides, the edges are not primed. Also note that the primer is not necessarily a sealer, so there were a couple of wood knots that showed through the primer a bit. Have some primer available to do the edges and knots if needed. If you cut the panel, that cut edge will need to be primed anyway.

Really Nice
This poplar primed panel is simply outstanding!! The panel was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. While I normally expect a few end voids even in really nice plywood I was unable to find any on this piece. I have never seen a four foot piece of ply that was any flatter than this or any nicer. I would feel comfortable using this for almost any project. This piece come pre-primed so very little prep is required for paining. I can not imagine you being unhappy with this. Pros: Flat Beautiful No end voids Cons: None

Bowed at both ends
I got this to make a cabinet door for a project I'm working on. Unfortunately, the panel is bowed on each end so it's useless to me. While I'm sure I'll find another use for the wood, I'm disappointed because it won't be used for what I meant to use it for. I probably wouldn't care as much if I could trim off the bowed sections, but it's a large door so that's not possible. Because this isn't sold in stores, you can only hope that the piece that you get isn't bowed. Based on other reviews, it seems to be hit or miss.

Project size plywood
This 3/4in.x 2ft.x4ft. Pre-primed Poplar Plywood is perfect for most small projects. You can carry this size panel in the back seat or trunk. The "half sheet" panel is ideal for handling. Light weight and easy to carry anywhere. The packaging is such that the panel is well protected for shipping and handling. The edges are void free making the edges easy to sand and paint or stain. The 5 layers are Pure Bonded with a non formaldehyde glue. These panels are available in larger sizes.

1/2" panel bowed so horribly
I ordered the 1/2" panel which arrived so horribly bowed, that I cannot use it for any of the projects I wanted to make. The only thing I think I can do with it is use it for furring strips...maybe not even that. The 3/4" panel i ordered arrived in perfect condition in the same shipping box. Very disappointed, hopefully I just got unlucky with this particular panel.

Very happy with 3/4" panel
I ordered 2 panels, one 1/2" and one 3/4". I was very happy with the 3/4" panel (2 feet x 4 feet). It arrived perfectly flat and only one minor dent on a corner. The primer is very thin, but sufficient for painting. It was almost a shame to have to paint the panel because the quality was so much nicer than what is available in most stores. I only found one tiny void in all the cuts I made which is pretty rare in my experience. My only wish is that these were available at my local store! I used the 3/4" panel to make the box for 2 dog beds (along with some leftover wood I already had on hand).
