I'm glad I bought this. It does exactly what I wanted it for. The internet advises Cat 6 cable for home use. I'm using it for home use. I'd rather the plugs were left uncovered, so you could connect or disconnect it with greater ease. But with a little bit of pressure and care I've been able to connect it and disconnect when I needed to. The cable is quite flexible and I was able to bend it around corners and get to my back bedroom where I'd installed a Netgear Nighthawk 6 Wi-Fi router, which has a coverage of 2,500 sq feet, and now allows me to have the internet in my shop in the backyard. Couldn't have done it without using the Cat 6 cable to connect my router in the living room to the Nighthawk 6 against the back wall of the house. I didn't have to get any tools to crimp the plugs to cable, which would have cost way too much. So, I was happy to find this ready made cable.

Using it for Work at Home proposes and have it running under doors, no sign of wear after two weeks, 50ft is able to reach from room to room and is a good length for my uses.

likely not Cat6 cable
First off, thanks to the HD employees who are still coming in despite the pandemic.
That said, we needed to run an ethernet cable to get a computer back up on the LAN and bought this one because we would only have to put a connecter back on one end once it was run (through walls and a crawlspace, etc). We were disappointed to find that this is not Cat6 cable but rather Cat5e. It has 24ga wire, which some Cat6 cables do, but it does not have the wire pairs isolated. We had no choice but to use it, given the conditions right now, but it will suck to have to do the installation again down the road.

This 24 gauge networking cable works very well and is well made. It has a bandwidth of up to 250 MHz and is great for data transfer, telephones, modems, fax machines, routers, media players, and smart tvs. The boot design protects the wiring and the gold-plated contacts show quality. I would definitely recommend this ethernet cable.
I like the flexible, sturdy cable and the white color was what I needed. I have a security system in the room next to where my router is, and the 50' length allows me to hook up to it with no performance problems. I prefer the reliability of using cables on surveillance systems instead of worrying about losing wireless signals.

The dude that left 1 star and said this cable is supposed to be rated for 550mhz is wrong.
CAT6 is rated for up to 250mhz which means this cable is EXACTLY what is being advertised.
He must've been thinking of CAT6A which is rated for 500mhz.
Anyhow, it worked fine for me, this was the only white CAT6 cable at my home depot so I bought it with the intent of cutting off one end so I could simply run it through the wall without having to make a big hole and not go through all the unnecessary hassle of installing a wall plate AND making two extra patch cables... just kept it simple... one long cable straight from my computer to the router.
After running the wire I re-terminated the end I cut off with a Klein CAT6 Pass-Thru Plug using the Klein Pass-Thru Modular Crimper, plugged it in and everything worked great!
