Started out using these in our finished lower level. Used both 4 in and 5 in throughout the lower level (living-room, kitchen, bathroom and laundry room). One year later, we have now put them in our main floor family room, dinning room, bedroom and closets. They are WONDERFUL and so much easier for the electrician to install. With that said, we have put many of them on dimmers and they look AMAZING.

It's life saver when your town required 2 hours fire rated reccesed can housing application which cost about 70 dollars per light...with these lights you can use regular j box which is about 2.50 at home depot. The only thing is I couldn't find it in different color temperature......I'm pretty shure it only comes in 2700 warm white color

Poorly made product! This is advertised as dimmable, which just about ALL LEDs are, but the key is whether or not the high frequency switching will be audible or even physically noticable. On this fixture if you dim it it will hum in a high frequency, even at 100% it makes noise. This is typical of cheap LED drivers, which no doubt this unit has. The dimming ability is very crude as well, not very well balanced. It is nearly 50% output when you get it to dim at a minimum. Lastly, if you're retrofitting old style fixtures that have a round junction box it probably won't fit with this fixture. It has a large protrusion from the rear that houses the electronics. It's impossible to make a few connections with solid core wide and fit this driver back box into the junction box. I'm returning this for an alternative, it's junk!

I felt compelled to write a review on this product due to the absolutely fantastic quality and the ease of installation. I am blown away by the quality control as much as anything. Of the (12) lights I purchased every one was packaged identically, all miscellaneous parts were perfectly bagged, no screws missing, etc. The level of manufacturing quality is impeccable. I am very picky and usually have a few issues but not in this case. Use the biggest electrical box you can, I had no bother when using a 4" blue plastic 24 cu in round box which attaches to the ceiling joists with the small adjustable metal brace that spans between them. This gives you whatever leeway you need rather than having to attach the box directly to only one ceiling joist. Wiring is simple, daisy chain the 14-2 wire between all lamps in the circuit. The quality of lighting is fantastic. I have a 13' wide by 26' long room, two rows of parallel lights, (6) down each side. I set them at 25" from the wall so as not to create any dark areas in the corner of ceiling to wall area. I have them on two circuits, (4) for dining area and (8) for living room. With all lights fully on the illumination is gorgeous, warm, and more than adequate, that is with a 9' spacing from one row to the other. Dimmers are not yet installed but I expect they will greatly improve the mood lighting.

Works like a champ...in both interior and exterior applications. I put the first two into the roof overhang, along the side of my garage, to illuminate the walkway from the patio door back to the driveway. They fit perfectly into one of those 4" diameter, "old work" ceiling boxes from Carlon (#B618R). I plan to put one more outside on the north side of the patio which, in conjunction with the two along the garage, will nicely illuminate the patio. Eventually I will get those on a timer so that they are on all night - remember they are LED, so the operational cost is almost negligible! I used another one in the laundry room and I plan on using one in the roof of the small, recessed porch area @ the front door. In that it is recessed, relative the north face of the house where the outdoor sconces are mounted, it is difficult to see the deadbolt when you are attempting to insert the key. One of these disk light units will do the trick nicely!
Bottom Line: Clean appearing, well designed, easy to install, inexpensive to operate and they will burn for a long, long time!

The LED LIGHT was just what we were looking for. The smart application of the Commercial Electric 6 inch LED light gave us the adequate space to install a light in a restricted area. The universal application of the 6-inch disk LED light is everything we needed. We have several other applications for this light in our new remodel projects.

Looks like real recessed lighting!
We needed to replace our existing flush mount fixtures in our kitchen and wanted recessed lighting but didnt have overhead room for the cans so we tried these and we love them! We originally took a trip to HD with the intent to purchase the Halo disc lights but saw that these were $10 cheaper and decided to give it a go. These fit perfectly into our 4 inch junction boxes. they look like real recessed lighting and after looking at other similar options in my opinion these look much more like genuine recessed lighting than the other options that are completely flat. These have a slight curve on the inside of the rim which gives the illusion of flood lights which in my opinion looks more genuine. The installation was a breeze and the end result looks amazing. I was a little concerned that the smaller 4 in would look too small or not be bright enough but this size is actually closer to the size of real recessed cans, the 5 and 6 in. stand out a bit to me bc they are a bit too big. And these give off strong but not harsh light. I would recommend using with a LED compatible dimmer. It makes all the difference bc although the light is a nice soft warm white, there are times we prefer to have low lighting and the dimmer makes that possible. I'm rambling and never write reviews but just had to for this product. We will be buying more.
