We'd been looking for blinds for a while. However, most did not have a finished look (with a valance) or were cost prohibitive for outdoors until we found these. They were relatively easy to install, inexpensive and had the valance we were looking for. Our pario has cooled down tremendously. Great purchase.

Super Easy to Install and GREAT Looking
For a person who is not a handyman around the house, I was surprised on how easy these outdoor roller shades were to install - just be careful to use common sense with the bracket placement via the template guide (the drill holes were reverse positioned on the template) - very easy to hang on the brackets - the brown color matches our outdoor deck decor perfectly, and the transparency is perfect for what we wanted/needed. We're SUPER pleased that we'll be able to roll these up for the winter, and be done compared to our old cord shades that needed to be taken down and stored. A GREAT buy !

This version of the Coolaroo shade was the easiest ever to install. I have two of them and this one with the three separate mounts went up in minutes ! Still works as great as the first one ! I used this one to cut off bat access to my front porch. It also functions as a sun shade in the late afternoon. I live in Southern Utah so that is a must !

The Montecito is a dark brownish black color. It was just what we were looking for to go with the new trim paint color of house. We had some Coolaroo roller shades in a different color that are now are too goldish. Anyway, the new shades are good, however, we were disappointed that they could not be put right under the gutter like the old roller shades( that had no cassette) The cassette would not fit there or even up close to the trim board under the eaves because the brackets to hold the shade require some space back and front or top and bottom to slide the cassette onto them. The brackets need to be in a straight line but there is quite some "wiggle" room for the spacing from one another, so it makes for much easier installation.
They are very secure in place on the brackets and easily removed or put back with the push button on the brackets.. I would recommend these for a moderately priced solution.
