The 6 white begonias arrived in a clearly marked box as to which side is up, with handles in the cardboard box, so they were easy to handle by delivery people. They were securely packed, surrounded by paper in the box, and wrapped in cellophane, which had to be carefully cut to get them out. They were in good condition. I watered them a little, then let them sit for about 3 days before I planted them outside. I alternated them with 6 red ones along an edge of my house. They look nice and happy in partial sun and shade.

These 6 red begonias look very nice after you unpack and water them. They were delivered in a clearly marked box as to which side is up, with poke-through handles in the cardboard box, so they were easy to handle by delivery people. It took quite a while to unwrap them as they were surrounded by paper in the box; then you had to carefully cut through a cellophane wrapper to get the plant out. Once out, they were in pretty good shape. I let them settle for about 3 days before I planted them outside. I alternated them with 6 white ones along the border of part of my house. They are alive and well.

The Costa Farms White Begonia 6 pack arrived from Home Depot. The corrugated inserts and butcher paper kept them securely in place, as the delivery service put the boxes on their side at my door. I had to wait a couple days to plant them due to a cold snap and company at my home. When I did go to plant them, several of them had died. Not sure why, as I did not have any problem with them last year. The remainder got planted and fertilized, and believe they will be doing well soon.

The Costa Farms Begonia's arrived from Home Depot packed very securely. The butcher paper and corrugated inserts really kept them in place, considering the delivery service laid the boxes on their side instead of face up like the arrow on the box. Once opened, the plants were in good shape. I had to wait a couple days to plant them due to a cold snap and company at my home. When I did go to plant them, several of them had died. Not sure why, as I did not have any problem with them last year. The remainder got planted and fertilized, and believe they will be doing well soon.

Wow! Fantastic LARGE begonias that are packaged perfect for safe shipping.
The begonias are white with bronze leaves and all arrived in bloom and look fantastic.
Amazing is the word that comes to mind. You get live plants sent to your house without hassle. Costa Farms took real care in packaging them. And these are not tiny plants. For the size, the price is competitive with buying 3” or 4” pots at the local store or nursery.
The care in packaging is just amazing. Each plant is wrapped securely to keep the soil and moisture in place. The soil leans heavily to peat, so it stays together well. Additionally, a bamboo rod is inserted that keeps the plants secure in the event that the box were tipped upside down. Hopefully they wouldn’t be tipped, but if it happened, no problem. This is super clever packaging.
As a bonus, I’m re-purposing the bamboo poles for support of some of my fledgling seedlings I’m currently growing. These will come in handy in the future.

The plants I received were healthy and moist and had excellent flowering. I decided to plant the Begonia’s in with some Hibiscus flowers i purchased at the same time in order to give a contrast of colors or both Red and White. After planting in soil designed to hold moisture and containing some fertilizer in the soil I watered and applied a liquid fertilizer in order for them to get over the transplanting shock. Three weeks later they are in full bloom and growing well..

This is the second year I have purchased plants from this company online. They come carefully packaged with paper around and between and each plant is individually wrapped in plastic to keep the soil and moisture intact. They arrived in great shape again this year. The included instructions say to let them rest a bit after their travels so I waited a couple of days to plant. They are healthy and a lovely addition to my deck. The ones I received last year were vibrant and lovely until they froze in the fall and I believe these will perform as well.

These plants come well-packaged in their individual containers with lots of paper packing between and around in a vented box. Each one is wrapped in plastic to keep all the dirt and moisture around that plant and zero mess in the box. The instructions said to let them rest a bit from their travels so I waited a couple of days to plant. They are well rooted, healthy, and a lovely addition to my deck. I purchased from this company last year as well and those plants thrived until they froze in the fall.

Costa Farms is the best!! This is not the first product we have gotten from Costa and it will not be the last. The plants arrived packaged perfectly. There is even a panel with two handles on each side that lift out all 6 pots at once. Now there is no digging to get each pot out. No damaged leaves or blossoms.
Each plant was wrapped in plastic wrap so no dirt would fall out. It also kept the dirt moist. Each plant was wrapped in heavy paper to protect the blossoms and the best part was that they were delivered overnight by FedEx. How could it get any better?? Pick your plant, order it and have it arrive in perfect condition. Home Depot and Costa Farms do it again.
