A:  No, it is not designed to be on a potentially hot exhaust from a water heater. It is made of plastic and may cause back pressure issues which might be dangerous.

A:  When I got mine 2 years ago, I ordered two and there was free shipping to the house. I could have shipped to store for free and picked up there but worked out well having shipped to house. So far the squirrels have left them alone and they show no signs of being eaten like the prior material which was virtually destroyed!

A:  I think they all come in black to provide maximum ultraviolet protection and longevity. Any paint made for application to plastic and for use outdoors should be fine.

A:  I have not seen any other color. Not sure why you would want to paint them. Depending on color it might bring Critters to them. The black seems to blend into most roofs.

A:  Critter Quitters are made of polypropylene. They only come in flat black but are textured for painting. We recommend that you first paint the unit with clear spray plastic primer, then paint with the color of your choice. Make sure any primer you use is compatible with polypropylene.

A:  They only come in black. You can use a quality paint for plastic. Preferably a high temp paint.

A:  No they only come in black, but I painted mine with brown plastic paint. Had a little sun fading but still looks great
