Original Equipment 42 in. and 46 in. FastAttach Double Bagger for XT1 and XT2 Series Riding Lawn Mowers (2015 and After)

I bought this bagger with my lawn tractor in the summer of 2020, I have 75 hours on both the tractor and bagger and the hose on bagger has already cracked. I would think for what this bagger cost it should last more than 2 years. My old bagging system on my 25 year old tractor from another manufacturer is still in working condition all made of a heavier plastic without a flex hose that splits in 2 years. Very disappointed in this product

Fit perfectly you can't get or make a better cover than this

Purchased for XT1. Easy to install with minimal effort. Attaches quickly to tractor. The bags fill up quickly and if you’re not paying attention, the grass will then clog in the chute. Which, you have to remove the chute and shake it out after dumping the bags. Once full, the bags are easy to remove and dump with a convenient sewn-in handle in the bottom of the bag to grab onto. I mow two-acres to give you an idea about quantity. The viewing window will be too dirty to see through after your first mowing.

I bought this with a new XT2 LX46. It works great! For years I've had a tow behind sweeper and this is so much easier. The fast attach system is so easy to use and allows me to take it on and off quickly so I can switch to tow behind equipment. The only thing that prevents me from giving this 5 stars is the window on top of the lid is pretty much useless. It gets dirty within minutes of the first use and you cant see anything. I haven't had any of the dust issues that others are complaining of. So I'm assuming that may have to do with what your yard is like at different times of the year.

I bought this over a year ago as part of my 46” XT2 and it works as needed for grass and leaves. Even though I got it installed by the dealer, it’s easy enough to detach and re-attach. Once you get used to how the bags sit in their slots and how to remove them, as well as how the lid latches, it really is a breeze unloading. Another post is correct with the window getting dirty after the first hour, but honestly I judge how full the bags are by simply reaching back and feeling them. Easy enough. And really, if the small preview window is a reason to rate this lower, then you probably shouldn’t be mowing a lawn to begin with. Also, I don’t have the mess issue that others have mentioned. But I always have a lid/cap on my cup/bottle so anything that gets kicked up doesn’t have any impact.

I have no complaint against the Cub Cadet lawn mower. I've had mine for two years now and it seems to be well made and it runs well. The bagging attachment is another story. It assembles easily and is easily mounted to the mower, but that's where any positive comments end. The inside surface of the clear feed tube that connects the bagger to the cutting deck quickly becomes so heavily coated with dirt that you can't tell if anything is moving through it or not. To avoid filling it up with clippings you'll need to stop and empty your bags before they fill completely, and since you won't be able to tell if anything is moving through the tube this will require guessing. The actual bagger seems flimsy to me and leaks dirt and debris in all directions around the hinged cover, so as others have mentioned, any open beverage container that you might place in the cup holder will quickly be littered with dirt and clippings, as will the back of the shirt you're wearing.......and your hair. But for me the real kicker was the apparent lack of quality control at the factory that produced the parts that make up this bagger. The flippy floppy excessively bendable and flimsy top cover is held in place by a long hinged front edge and two catches at the lower rear, one on each side. Mine came with one on the left, which I thought was odd, but the right catch was so completely and neatly missing that I didn't realize it was supposed to be there until I saw someone else's bagger. I just assumed it was a really poor design. This begs the question, since these catches are such a prominent and necessary feature of the design, how in the world does a manufacturing defect this prominent go unnoticed by the maker? As a result of this defect I frequently find myself sitting sideways in the seat as I'm mowing so that I can hold the top down with my right hand. Pretty disappointing from a company with Cubs reputation. In closing, if you're going to want a bagging attachment for your Cub Cadet, since the folks at Cub clearly aren't checking for defects before the product leaves the factory, be sure to open the box at the store and check for defects before you take it home. Once you take it home it becomes your problem, not Home Depot's.
