Would I need to remove my kitchen sink from my countertop before applying this product?
Hello, you do not need to remove the sink in order to apply the Luxrock or Mineral select countertop products. Just carefully mask around the edges and then apply the coating. Once completed, slowly pull the quality painters tape for a clean line finish.
Can you add another layer of topcoat a few weeks later - AFTER the original second coat?

How would you apply luxstone over 4 inch ceramic tile?
Hi Michael. If you are asking about a tile countertop surface, and you are concerned about the grout line indentations. You can make the surface smooth with a skim coat application of DAICH Rock Patch first to create a new level surface. It is a pre-mixed compound you can apply directly to the tile. Can this be used outdoors on a concrete counter top & how will it fare during a 20 degree below zero MN winter?
Hi Carla. LuxRock would stand up to the temperatures without issue, but the epoxy clear coat in LuxRock could yellow over time due to long term exposure to UV rays (as all epoxies do). For your requirements, a better alternative would be our SpreadStone mineral select countertop kit. It does not have an epoxy clear coat as part of the system — and would stay looking great year-round as an exterior countertop surface. Thanks!
