You can buy an identical one at Home Depot. When you thread on the new one, make sure to use Teflon tape or pipe dope on the male threads sticking out of the wall. It makes the noise because the valve is failing, and it oscillates because the valve is so loose. I think it's a good diverter faucet.

They're both the same thing. Just be sure to use Teflon tape or pipe dope on the male threads when you install it.

Thank you for your choosing Danco products and for your inquiry. We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced with the Danco 80765 Tub Spout with Back Diverter. It seems like it could be one of two issues with the installation that is causing the unit to leak from the back when diverting to the shower. The first issue may be that more thread tape needs to be applied to the copper piping to create a water tight seal. The other would be that your copper pipe is too short and not allowing the tub spout to thread on to the copper pipe enough to provide a water tight seal before hitting the tub and shower wall.

Do you sell a flange/escutcheon for this spout? I have approximately a 1/4inch gap and am unable to adjust the piping

Thank you for your interest in Danco products. The part you want is Danco #80001 (http://www.homedepot.com/p/DANCO-Decorative-Tub-Spout-Ring-80001/202251675)

What can use to fill in the gap between the wall tub spout?

Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we do not offer a tub spout ring thick enough to fill a 1 inch gap.

How do I get the same water pressure?

These spouts are designed to let a little bit of water run out when in the shower position. From the picture I'd say that you need a shorter nipple that goes into the faucet. The spout should fit right up against the tile. If your temperature changes like that, not being there, I couldn't say what the problem is. I don't think it's in the diverter on the spout, but back pressure from the new spout could cause the mixing of the hot and cold water to be unbalanced. If you replace the washer on the diverter valve, possibly you could have less water running into the tub when you take a shower.

Do I need any additional parts to stop the water from running into the tub and Shower head at the same time.

I had same problem. Other than plumbing tape and tub/Spout diverter, no other parts were needed for repair

How to attached if pipe is not threaded

Asked by John July 5, 2015

Unfortunately for you, this spout is not made to connect to a plain copper pipe. You'll either have to go into the wall where the pipe comes out and solder a male threaded adapter, or use a different spout. Possibly, you could use a Shark Bite copper tubing to 1/2" ips adapter.

The actual facet fell of the wall. How does this attach, when there is no pipe to connect to?

Answer

Thank you for your inquiry. This, and all of our tub spouts, require a pipe to attach to. This particular one needs a short threaded stub out to be screwed onto.

This spigot is easy to install. That being said, I have had two. First one lasted about a year and the second about 6 months. The problem with both is the plastic peace with the female screw threads. Both developed a small hairline crack and would leak when the shower diverter was pulled up. Thinking that plastic piece can't handle the water pressure long term.

My friend and I bought this for my new crib and it was an easy install and we are both kinda stupid but we made it work. It may look bad with the piping that was already there but it works great and I am super satisfied.
