Thank you for posting your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience with DAP Premium Polyurethane Construction Adhesive Sealant. Polyurethane adhesives and sealants are known to exhibit excellent adhesion to a wide variety of common construction materials. The issues that you describe can likely be attributed to surface condition/preparation and/or product that has not yet reached a fully cured state. Fully cured polyurethane is extremely difficult to remove from most wood substrates (with the exception of some oily tropical hardwoods), however, as is the case with all sealants/adhesives, they must be applied to clean/dry/prepared surfaces for proper performance. Likewise, polyurethane (as a chemistry) is a relatively slow to achieve a full cure/full performance characteristic (~24 hours per 1/8" of applied thickness, within specified temperature/humidity ranges). Until the product has reached a full cure state, adhesion/flexibility/durability will not be in developed.
