Q:Can it be use to glue towel rack back up and ceramic soap dish back on wall
by|Feb 1, 2023

Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for posting your inquiry. The DAP RapidFuse All Purpose Adhesive would not be recommended for your application as described. The appropriate adhesive would be our DAP Tank Bond Epoxy or our DAP Dynagrip Heavy Duty Max Construction Adhesive. Should you have any additional questions or wish to discuss with us in more detail, please feel free to contact DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477.

A:  The answer is yes, but prep is very important!!! Clean area, totally dry area, even if you need to use a hair dryer. Usual waterproof construction adhesive for a soap dish, , but can use rapid fuse, would not use it to put any substantial weight on;!!

      Q:Does it bond glass?
      by|Jan 17, 2023

      Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for posting your inquiry. The DAP RapidFuse All Purpose Adhesive will adhere to glass surfaces however, when bonding glass to glass, two-component epoxies are typically recommended. When using RapidFuse on glass bonding projects, we recommend that you pretest your materials/assembly. Should you have any questions or wish to discuss your project, please feel free to contact DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477.

Q:If this is Cyanoacrylate based, what the difference between this and any other Super Glue?
        by|Jan 16, 2023
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for posting your inquiry. DAP RapidFuse is an Ethyl Cyanoacrylate based formula, however, unlike other “superglues”, RapidFuse also contains an additional polymer for added strength and shock resistance. Should you have any additional questions or require further assistance, please contact DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477.

          Q:Will it bond vinyl siding?

          Answer This Question

A:  I have used it to bond a vinyl awning, but not vinyl siding. I would suggest reading the back of the packaging, then testing it with a small broken piece of what your trying to repair, you can always find a piece of vinyl something at any home Depot. Just my suggestion!! Good luck

          by|Jan 6, 2023

A:  Thank you for posting your inquiry on DAP RapidFuse. While this product will adhere to vinyl surfaces, DAP RapidFuse is not designed for applications where flexing or expansion/contraction is likely to occur. Should you have any additional questions or require further assistance, please contact DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477.

              Fusing not so rapid
It did not bond within 30 seconds to hard plastic or glass surfaces. The 2 surfaces needed additional support to stay aligned to allow bonding. After 24 hours some of the hard plastic bonds detached as soon as it was moved.

Thank you for posting your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience with RapidFuse. Harder (higher density) and/or (low surface energy) slick plastics, such as acetyl, nylon, polyethylene, polypropylene and PTFE can be more challenging to develop proper adhesion without additional surface preparation. Based on your description of the plastic you were intending to bond, you may benefit from the use of the RapidFuse Plastic Primer. At your convenience, please contact DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477 so that we can obtain some additional information from you and so that we can provide you with additional usage guidance. This is a winner in my book. DAP RapidFuse Adhesive does a great job!
I have used DAP wood products for 25+ years. So, when I needed to repair a decoration for the lovely wife, I tried DAP RapidFuse All-purpose Adhesive. I am very satisfied with it. DAP RapidFuse adhesive is easy to dispense, and you have precise control of the flow. The long tip makes application a breeze when trying to get into tight places. Set time is just under 30 seconds, YRMV. DAP RapidFuse dries clear with no shrinking. I am glad that I have added DAP RapidFuse to my workshop tools.

Excellent Product. Does a superb job in 30 minutes!
A very small plastic clip on the exhaust fan cover got broken. DAP Rapid Fuse did the job outstandingly well within 30 minutes - as advertised. Initially, I was a bit skeptical, but this glue worked amazingly well on a very small plastic clip. I will go with DAP products always.

                Works great as long as...
You use it up ASAP! I use this occasionally for minor repairs around the house. I purchased this bottle last spring and 1/2 of the contents, despite being tightly closed and stored at room temperature, have hardened and is unusable. Economically it doesnt make sense to pay for product that you cannot fully use. Is there a way to loosen this up or do I just toss it? Im very disappointed and very unfortunate as this is an excellent adhesive.

I was excited about using this on the clear lens on my light fixture but after the application it turned white basically ruining the lens

Thank you for posting your inquiry. DAP RapidFuse can be used to bond most plastics, however, as you did not identify the plastic that you were applying the adhesive to, we cannot comment on specific compatibility. When using RapidFuse (or any similar product) on any unfamiliar materials/applications (especially clear surfaces), we recommend that you pretest your materials/assembly to verify both compatibility and overall performance. Should you have any additional questions or require further assistance, please contact DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477. DAP

                    Excellent for the many projects!
I've used this for various types for plastic repairs as well as making mahogany picture frames (12x14ish? and 5 x 7) and a nice redwood with maple inlay box with almost no fasteners. Glue worked exceptional with those materials. Fast grab time is phenomenal, just make sure to avoid extra glue on plastic repairs in particular as excess is only removed mechanically. Top notch product!

                      Highly recommend.
Custom Pool cues. i use this on a lot of different substrates without failure. The bond is flexible as needed and VERY strong. I/we put this product thru 2 years of R&D on out Ravage Carbon fiber shaft during the developement and it passed by superceeding ALL other cyanoacrylate (CA) adhesives by almost 80%. Strength, durability, longevity and overall performance. The bond is VERY strong and actually works on a lot of phenolic products whereas other CA's do not hold. This product also works well with a setting agent meaning an accelerator.

Easy To Use. Effective. Handy Size.
Just happened to grab this because other brand 'dried up.' Have used Dap All Purpose to repair plastic shop vac coupling, sun glasses, and other little things over a month and am satisfied. Handy easy to use and seems to work well for general gluing.
