Will they cut music wire without distorting or ruining the cutting edges?

AnswersDon't go by the other answers, they don't seem to know what music wire is (piano wire not speaker wire) it is hardened steel similar in hardness to tool steel, and will easily wreck ordinary or high quality wire cutters or pliers. You need a music wire cutter or a grit type hacksaw or as a messy last resort a rotary tool with mini diamond cutoff wheel (regular cutoff wheels will work too but the steel/diamond type won't shatter every time you look at em wrong
are these insulated to prevent getting shocked?

I bought these pliers at 10am and at 4pm it was already worn and had no more non-slip in the jaws, also on the handles the word dewalt is engraved which makes the grip very uncomfortable. As for the multiplication of the catch, its does not change much the force.
I have had similar pliers stanley fat max for 2 ½ years and they are much more resistant to wear.

The compound action gives extra leverage, but it also causes the jaws to not open as far as usual. The other big problem is that the plastic handles slide off, which is a problem when you are pulling on wire to twist it which is a common procedure, but they are not made properly to prevent this. The metal should have been knurled or roughened to make the plastic adhere, but this was not done. If you look at my picture, you can see that the metal is completely smooth. Then, they relied on glue to keep the handles on. Disappointing when you take into account Dewalt's supposed reputation for making quality tools. If you look at Channellock tools, you can never get the plastic handles off of those

Great pliers/cutters! Our black lab was jumping over our 4 foot fence so we had to add more fencing to add height. These pliers worked really well to cut and twist the metal pieces we needed to attach the fence.
