Bagless 20V MAX Stick Cordless General Dirt Filter Handheld Vacuum (Tool Only)

I bought this vacuum specifically to clean elevated deer stands because I already owned two DeWalt 20V XR 4Ah batteries. After researching several DeWalt cordless vacuums, I chose the DCV501HB, and I'm glad I did. The vacuum feels well built. My 20V XR batteries fit securely with only a tiny amount of normal movement. The suction is excellent, especially for a cordless hand vacuum, and the LED light turned out to be a feature I didn't know I wanted. It's surprisingly helpful in dim areas like enclosed deer stands and basements. Before using it in the field, I performed two runtime tests using my DeWalt 20V XR 4Ah batteries (both date-coded 2025). I attached a fully charged battery and let the vacuum run continuously until it completely shut down. Using this test method, I got approximately 16–17 minutes of continuous runtime with each battery, which matched DeWalt's published specifications almost exactly. During the final 30–45 seconds of each test, I noticed the suction diminished significantly before the vacuum shut off completely. Prior to that, however, I did not notice any meaningful reduction in suction. The real test came when I cleaned three deer stands (approximately 4x4, 6x6, and 8x8). I accidentally left my second battery at home and only had one battery with me. Even though that battery had already been used earlier, I cleaned the two smaller stands and most of the largest stand before the battery ran out. A fully charged battery—and certainly two batteries—would easily handle all three stands. For anyone wondering about the type of debris, my deer stands don't get extremely dirty. I'm not vacuuming large amounts of mud, piles of leaves, or heavy construction debris. The typical cleanup consists of dead flies, grass clippings, cobwebs, dust, and similar light debris that accumulates over the season. For that type of cleanup, the vacuum performed exceptionally well. One thing that surprised me was the dust cup. I was concerned it would be too small, but after cleaning all three stands it wasn't even close to full. Instead, the HEPA filter pleats collected most of the fine dust and dead insects. I simply gently cleaned the filter with compressed air afterward and it was ready for the next use. Note: The filter housing indicates not to use compressed air to clean the filter. The only minor complaint I have is that the long extension tube can separate from the vacuum when you're PULLING it with the floor attachment. Once I realized it won't detach with a PUSHING motion, it wasn't much of an issue. I also wish the extension had a more positive locking mechanism. Overall, this has been an excellent purchase. It's lightweight, has great suction, comes with useful attachments, and performed exactly as I hoped. If you already own DeWalt 20V batteries and need a portable vacuum for hunting blinds, vehicles, equipment, or other light- to medium-duty cleanup jobs, I would definitely recommend this vacuum. I've only owned this for a a couple weeks, so it's too early to comment on it's longevity, but so far I'm very pleased.

My daughter's chore is vacuuming and she hated the corded vacuum that she had to drag the cord around the house. After getting this cordless vacuum, I wouldn't say she loves vacuuming, but definitely made her life a lot easier. This vacuum is powerful and versatile. Only drawback is with the battery it can be a little on the heavy side.

I bought this handheld vacuum for my wife, but I probably use it more than she does. It has a lot more power than I expected for a compact vacuum, and the attachments make it useful for quick cleanups around the house, vehicles, and small messes. It is easy to grab, easy to use, and has become one of those tools we reach for often. Very happy with it.

I just bought this sweeper a few days ago to replace the horrible rigid vacuum I bought two years ago. I have had primarily Dewalt construction/wood working tools for the past 30 years. I purchased the rigid vacuum, batteries, and charger because of a great review and demonstration I saw on YouTube. I would say rigid had changed their standards during the time of my purchase. Out of the box, I put on the battery and began cleaning. Right from the beginning until the end the suction was powerful and consistent. When it came time to empty it I found the hepa filter was difficult to clean; like other reviews have said it needs pre-filter. I knew I would have to buy one but I couldn’t without seeing it for myself. Next are the attachments. The friction fit between the hose and attachments doesn’t stay locked, maybe it’s the bevel on the hose end; this should have been remedied Default. Lastly is the choice in attachments. I think the wider brush should be a simple attachment without the bristles for use on smooth work benches and automotive carpet. I like this vacuum and I do recommend it. I Rate it 4.7out of 5 because of the problems I mentioned. Note to Dewalt: high end companies work these things out before they are released and sold. Please don’t go down the Rigid path .

I bought this vacuum and am so disappointed that filters, correct ones are not available. Had to discard the original one as was contaminated but cannot get a replacement to fit at all. Have tried ordering but keep getting the wrong one. Works great but without a filter is a paperweight as far as I’m concerned.

This vacuum was very powerful yet quiet. I always keep handy vacuum in the car in case the children leaves snack debris all over the interior of the car and I really don’t like it. Therefore having vacuum in my car is absolute must for me and I compared this product with Dyson and shark and this product is one tier above the competitor and I highly recommend it.

Delivery (UPS) kept being delayed and when it finally showed up at my house the box was torn up and poorly re-taped. Also after opening I realized accessories were missing. Don't have a store in my town and didn't want to deal with more shipping annoyances. Luckily had to travel for work to a city with a store soon after that. Exchange was really easy and I'm very happy with the vacuum.

Bought it solely to clean spilled ash after loading a wood stove after killing my cheap dustbuster. Cooled ash only of course. This thing works like a charm, is easy on the back, and sucks way harder than the dustbuster. Also picks up larger pieces due to the larger inlet. Have used it daily with a 4AH battery for the two weeks since buying it and the battery still shows full charge. Should have bought it years ago.

After looking for a cordless vacuum, I found out that dewalt do sell one and immediately went to YouTube to see people's reviews, well I guess I fell in love with this vacuum, next day I went to Home Depot and bought me one, also so I have dewalt tool and extra batteries it also makes it much easier to get one of this, I carry 4 pair of batteries the regular dewalt ones and it works great for me, I clean my dog hair much easier and also clean my car much easier, I recommend it 🤟🏼🤪
