Dewalt drill bit broke and Dewalt did NOT replace it
A 5/16” Dewalt drill bit broke the first time I used it and it was in soft stainless steel. I emailed Dewalt photos of the set including the broken bit. After wasting my time with a number of emails they failed to replace the obviously defective bit. So I will NEVER buy a Dewalt product again.

Alright product
Bought these bits to replace some of my lost or broken older bits that I've had for awhile. One of my bits broke within the first two days of moderate use with it, which was disappointing to say the least. Otherwise the set has been perfectly average.

I ordered the DEWALT 10-Piece Black and Gold Drill Bit Set to replace the most commonly used bits from my larger Dewalt Bit & Bit Driver set. After years of good use the older bits have become less efficient. The new bits fit the chucks in all my drills easily and securely. I tried the ¼” bit on soft wood, hard wood and mild steel. The bit performed well on all three, producing very clean holes. The case is very handy and removal and replacement of the bits is very easy, therefor I will be storing the bits in the case provided rather than using the older larger case that is rather troublesome to use.

These DEWALT BLACK AND GOLD DRILL BIT SET (10-PIECE) are very nice drill bits. I have been using Dewalt bits for a few years now and am always impressed with the quality. These new bits come with a tough case that's really neat because now you can stack these cases to conserve space, and the cover of this case is clear so you can see thru to what bits are in the case. The bits themselves are split point ones so they won't walk around on you as you drill. Very nice quality as one would expect from DeWalt!

This set of bits is an excellent necessity for every tool bench or bucket. The bits come in a hard plastic, latch able case with the sizes clearly labeled. The bits are firmly held in place. Just lift and pull out to remove them and push in and press down to lock then in. The bits are long lasting. This is a good addition to anyone's work bench or toolbucket.

Good, high-quality selection of bits. Includes the following sizes -1/16" (2), 5/64" (2), 3/32", 7/64", 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", and 5/16". Good for both wood and metal. Tips work well for placing the bits on target-particularly on the larger bits. All bits appear to be well-balanced and are of the correct size. Larger bits have a flat side, no-spin shank. The case is durable, high-quality plastic that will nest with other Dewalt Tough Case+. I am happy with this product as a general use drill bit and definitely recommend it!

I would consider these your average, run of the mill drill bits. They work pretty much like every other set I have ever used. I can't speak to the supposed "black and gold" coating for rust prevention. The thing that I found odd, was the size of the case. You could fit thirty or forty drill bits in there, the case takes up a lot of unneeded space. Also, not a big deal, but I figure I'll mention it, the printing in the case that lists the sizes of the bits came all messed up in mine (see photo).

I broke 6 of these bits trying to drillnholes in mild steel. Definintely not recommended for steel at all
