Q:The title for this product states that it comes with a 4ah battery. One of the descriptive photos for the "KIT" indicates it comes with a 12ah battery In the questions and answers it is indicated that it comes with a 3ah battery. Pretty confusing. Which?

Answer This Question

A:  The battery that the blower comes with is DCB612. This is a FLEXVOLT battery that works with both 20v and 60v DEWALT tools. When the DCB612 is with a 20v tool, it has a 12AH. However, the 60v tools take 3 20v AH to have 1 AH. So, the blower being a 60v tool would be using the battery at 4AH for 60v.

Great addition to Dewalt’s 60V lineup!
My yard is too large for a battery powered leaf blower. I didn’t choose this blower to remove leaves from my entire yard. I needed one that was short and powerful to dry my truck after washing it, This works perfectly. The run time with the 12AH battery is more than enough to dry every inch of my Tacoma without fully draining the battery even after blowing the leaves out of the driveway before I started washing it. It’s got a very strong motor.

            Mighty blower with great results
The blower is a mighty one. It's a beast of a blower and for a battery powered one, it works pretty well. You must realize that this is professional grade blower which means it is big. So depending on your needs, it will get a lot done because it has a huge motor which produces a lot of airflow. It blows through dirt and debris with ease. I have used it a few times to blow leaves off my lawn (we know how tough that is compared to smooth surfaces) and I am very impressed with the results. One of the many positives of this blower is that you can control the airflow by pressing the trigger halfway or all the way. You can also lock your setting if you prefer that way. There are quite a few settings and it will be a while to get used to them all. The motor is pretty quiet for a blower and definitely much quieter than gas versions. It comes with two types of nozzles but for general yard work, I have been using the round one. It comes with a shoulder strap and I didn't face any issue with balancing it when using. The 12 Ah battery charges pretty quickly (for a battery that large) and lasts me a week with 10-12 mins of usage per day on Eco mode. For many, a big consideration will be the weight. It weighs a little under 11 lbs on my scale. The provided shoulder strap is the way to go and you can use it pretty well after getting used to it. Assembly was quick and easy and I was up and running in no time.

Strong blower power and easy to operate with rechargeable battery
The Dewalt 60 volt MAX is a strong and effective blower. I've been pleased by the strong power output in the various modes that it offers such as eco, standard, and turbo mode. The blower comes with a shoulder strap which is optional to use, a sweeper nozzle, and a concentrator attachment. Also included in the box is a Dewalt 60 volt Flex Volt 12.0AH rechargeable battery and charger base. The visual LED dashboard display on the blower is helpful to see which mode you're operating in and to see the remaining battery life. The squeeze trigger is easy to use and is pressure sensitive for wind speed. This particular blower feels strong with its power and wind output. Capable of 157mph wind speed has been helpful for me to do yard work on my property such as cleaning up after lawn mowing and moving loose debris from the driveway. The blower is more efficient than using a gas blower since this Dewalt blower is less disruptive with less noise, and more blowing force than a traditional gas powered blower. I have been able to use this at odd times of the day without disturbing my nearby neighbors because the machine operates at a slightly lower volume. The handle makes this easy to hold and direct windflow where you want it to go. The base of the blower has a sturdy footprint to set it on the ground without it tipping over. Very easy to assemble and operate right out of the box. Strong power and good battery life are a win win for a homeowner or small business need.

            It’s a Beast!!!
Ok, I have the unique opportunity to review the DCBL777 and compare it to the DCLB772 that I already own. Right out the gate this thing impressed me a ton of power. The balance of it by the look, I was worried about because the battery is on the back top. This was not a concern as it is perfectly balanced with where you grip it. Both blowers are heavy so the fact that it comes with a strap is one of the nicest features. This saves your arm if you are blowing for an extended period of time. The next thing I loved is the decreased noise compared to the 772. It is night and day difference. With my phone app about a foot away the 777 was 100 dB the 772 was 105 dB. But the 772 has a high pitch whine that makes you wear hearing protection. The one of the nicest features is the LED screen on the top. It tells you your battery life instead of turning the unit over to see how much battery you have left. It also has a 3 speed button. I always used it on high so I didn’t have much need for the lower speeds. I tested this out for a week blowing sand, dirt and debris. I’m super glad that it came with a 12 Ah battery, because this thing chews up batteries. It will last for about 1/2 hr on high non stop. With as much power it has that is really good. I do have an issue with the “in my opinion” under rated 4 amp charger that it comes with. After the first time I used my 12 amp fast charger. It also comes with two tips. I really like the broom tip the wide one. I also really like the wide base it has so when you set it down it doesn’t tip over on you. All and all this is a great upgrade if that’s what you are looking for. I think Dewalt listened to the users this time when designing it.

            Great brushless blower !
First time using a dewalt tool and I’m impressed. The brushless blower is very useful comes with 3 different blower settings there’s regular then medium and the high setting blows very strong. The battery display is very easy to read, and the battery life last a long time I am a maintenance tech and live on site I use this bad boy everywhere. The grip handle is great very comfortable doesn’t strain your hand or wrist. I have used it half a day non stop on the low setting and I still had half the battery to drain… definitely recommend this blower if your looking to buy one.

            Grab and go.
This blower works perfectly for cleaning out my garage, garden beds, grass clippings, and even drying my vehicles for detailing. The ergonomics and balance are well designed at a functional weight of only 10.5 lbs, with an optional included sling if you feel it’s necessary. Dewalt utilized what looks like a foam ring in the intake to quiet down the high pitch sound usually associated with other electric blowers, which I appreciate and I’m sure my neighbors do as well. The variable speed/locking trigger is a nice addition to the adjustable power modes. With the power level set to turbo, it’s within the range of my handheld gas commercial blower, with the limitation that it won’t be able to maintain the same extended working time without additional batteries, however running this blower all day is not my intended use for this tool. I wanted this blower for the convenience factor of not having to mix gas/oil, no maintenance (spark plug, air filter, fuel primer bulb, fuel lines, carburetor, winter stabilizer, etc.), and the ability to just grab a battery and go. Additionally, the included flexvolt battery is great as I’m able to utilize across my other 20 volt Dewalt tools.

            Leaf Blower
Omg, this leaf blower is 10 times better than our previous one (different brand), it has 3 speeds so anything you need done will work. It was very easy to put together and charged up pretty fast. It has 2 attachments, one condenser and the other is a wide angle. So many ways to use it, I love it. I highly recommend especially knowing some of these leaf blowers leave a bit to be desired but not this one, I’m so excited to use it throughout my large yard, it will help me tremendously!!!!

DeWalt Leaf Blower Review on 03/16/2024
This was my first time ever using a DeWalt made product. The DeWalt Leaf Blower arrived in a sturdy, undamaged, well built box. I removed and laid out the contents and reviewed them along with their descriptions in the Instruction Manual. The manual is cluttered with a multitude of warning statements that end up taking up a lot of room in the manual. The rest of the instructions for assembly and operation are pretty clear and helpful with 11 different pictograms aiding in parts identification. The first step now is to remove the red transport cover off from the battery, aggressively slide the battery into the charger and start charging the up to half charged battery. It takes approximately 2 ½ hours for stage 1 charging and another 30 minutes to reach a full stage 2 charge. While charging, you can assemble the leaf blower with your desired attachments using the instruction manual for guidance. Assembly will take about 15 minutes. Make sure you remove the concentrator tip from inside the blower tube before inserting the blower tube onto the power head. Fully assembled, the leaf blower weighs 10.8 pounds. I used the blower to blow small live oak leaves on grass in Florida on March 16, 2024. It was a 75 degree day with a light to moderate breeze. I used the blower and timed it’s use with a smart watch timer and was surprised that the State of Charge Indicator went from 4 bars (100% charge) to 1 bar (less than 20% charge) in just 25 minutes of use in the ECO Mode speed. I briefly tried the other 2 speed settings, Standard and Turbo, but did not see a lot of difference, so I left it in full ECO mode using the trigger lock for the majority of time. The shoulder strap attachment really helped in reducing user fatigue, especially if you have a large area to work on. The broom tip worked better for me than the concentrator tip for directing leaves and dirt. Because the battery is heavy and located at the back of the blower, it took constant effort to aim the blower tip to the ground. I found it easier to aim the blower tip by holding the back of the unit up using one hand rather than by just using the handle. The DeWalt Leaf Blower appears to be a high quality, well built leaf blower with a long 3 year warranty. However, after it’s first use, it took 3 hours and 5 minutes to recharge the battery to full. If you only need it for a half hour or less of work, then I think it is a fine unit. However, if you need to use it for longer than ½ hour at a time, then I think you would be disappointed, unless you have extra interchangeable batteries to work with.
