About This Product

Diablo's Saw Blade for Laminates and Non-Ferrous Metals features new laser-cut stabilizer vents for precise and clean cuts in laminates and non-ferrous materials. The advanced stabilizer vents feature a permanent filler baked in from top to bottom for absorbing noise and preventing sideways movement, allowing the blade to slice through laminates and non-ferrous metals cleanly, quickly and accurately. Constructed with TiCo Hi-Density special-blend carbide, the blade produces precise cuts and provides 5X longer cutting lif compared to standard saw blades. The laser cut heat expansion slots allow the blade to expand and contract during use, keeping the cut true and straight.

Highlights

  • Compatible with 12in. sliding miter saws and portable table saws
  • TiCo Hi-Density carbide specifically designed for each application to increase performance
  • Perma-SHIELD Non-stick Coating protects from heat, gumming, and corrosion

  • Note: laminate flooring should only be cut with a sliding miter saw or table saw (never with a “chop” style saw)

  • Laser cut heat expansion slots allow the blade to expand and contract without warping for straight and accurate cuts
  • Great for cutting laminates, non-ferrous metals, plastics, melamine and wood

Q:is the blade good for cutting vinyl plank flooring
by|Jun 10, 2023

Answer This Question

A:  Nope don't do it. Used the blade on one job for 3 cuts on vinyl plank flooring then switched to a cheap blade just in case laminate didn't imply vinyl plank. Those 3 cuts made the blade worthless on aluminum now. So NONONONONONONO DONT USE ON VINYL PLANK

Worked great for cutting down cellular blinds..
I bought this blade for the specific task of cutting down some cellular shades with aluminum head and foot rails. We replaced some bow windows and they were slightly smaller that the originals. Since the eight shades - 4 per window - were a couple of grand I thought I'd try and resize them before spending another pile of dough. I wasn't too sure about how it would turn out but I had nothing to lose since I would have to buy new ones anyway if this little project went south. I ended up taking about an inch off each shade. The blade cut the metal and blinds beautifully. What I didn't know was the footers had two 1/4 steel rods hidden in them to add weight to the footer. I missed hitting them on the first shade but was unpleasantly surprised when the blade kicked back on the second one when it hit the rods. It did cut through them with no damage to the blade, but if you're ever going to try something like this take a look to be sure there's nothing hiding in the aluminum channels. So the bottom line is the blade worked great and cut through some steel it wasn't designed to with no damage. I'm also planning on putting some laminate flooring in my office soon and this should prove ideal for that project too.

        Versatile and high quality.
This blade is a versatile choice. 1: The cut is good enough to hit with 320 grit sandpaper. 2: This leaves a fine dust rather than chips. Indoors, it gets everywhere, but outdoors, the wind helps you clean up. Bring a big fan. 3: Non-ferrous capability is very useful for PVC plumbing and some aluminum projects. 4: The blade runs rather quietly. No metallic ringing sound. Just a soft whine of the teeth cutting. Interesting. I'm not used to that.

I purchased this saw blade to build my Trex deck since the Trex 12 blade was unavailable. It worked great with smooth cutting and no burn. I also was able to use it on the aluminum railings since it is a non ferrous blade also!

This blade did exactly what I wanted to do. Using this blade I was able to very cleanly cut Levolor window blind. It cut through the steel header, take-up reel, and faux blinds very easily.

Excellent blade. I bought this blade after reading the reviews on my phone while I was shopping. I can attest to the truthfulness all of the other positive reviews. This is a great blade that I replaced the stock Hitachi blade with. Not much grab if any and the finish is buttery smooth!
