Product Overview

  • Best application on hand-held drill or drill press
  • For drilling straight, angled and overlapping holes in wood
  • Hardened steel body for longer life and sharper cutting edge
The Diablo 2-1/8 in. high speed steel forstner bit can drill straight, angled and overlapping holes in all types of wood with minimal splintering. The sharp center spur accurately locates the center of the hole for precision. Diablo forstner bits feature a double-ground, razor sharp serrated edge that slices throughout the rotation of the bit for less splintering and chipping.
  • Hardened steel body - warrants a longer life and sharper cutting edge
  • Ultra sharp spur - ensures an accurate hole and resists walking on material
  • Steep angled cutting edges - produces holes that are smooth and flat, and create chisel like curls for fast, clean chip removal
  • Quality forged construction - instead of casting, strengthens bit for extended life

Will this forester fit in a handheld power drill?
Asked by: Grant
Yes. I used this in my Dewalt 20V 3/8 drill, though I am sure it would fit in all 3/8 and 1/2 inch chucks.

Can I use this with a hand drill?

I would like to do small craft projects, but I only have a hand drill. Will this work? If not, is there another type of drill bit that would work that is larger than 2" in diameter?

will this cut threw anything in a timely manner like 30 sec???
Asked by: brandi
Yes. With the center punch built into the bit, it keeps itself on-point without wandering like many bits do. It not only cuts fast, but it cuts clean without leaving a jagged hole.

Can i use this bit with a router???
Asked by: King
You probably could get it to fit in the router collar, though it is fairly big in width and length and would be awkward on a router. This is made for a hand-held drill
