One time use disc
I used these discs with a new Makita random orbital sander (reviewed separately) and to say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. Using the very common "hook and loop" attachment method (hooks on sander, loops on discs) the discs were easy to attach and did a good job of sanding. The problem came when I tried to REMOVE the disc - the disc came off all right, but the loops didn't. Whatever method they're using at Diablo to attach the loop fabric, it isn't working, it comes loose from the back of the sanding disc. I tried a second disc and tried - I really did - to be sure the loop fabric on the back of the disc came up with the disc. No luck. See the picture included - there are two Diablo discs with peeling loop fabric, and a competitor's disc which I was able to attach and remove a couple of times with no difficulty. So the problem isn't with the sander, it's with the Diablo discs. Unacceptable.

I was having trouble finding disc's for my B&D orbital sander. I swung into my HD and found these which saved the day for a reset project I was doing. They worked awesome on a piece of rough cut cherry wood I needed sanded out and when I was done it didn't look like I had hardly done anything with the several grits. I know where I'll be going for future discs.

Excellent sanding discs that held up well for my project. I sanded and finished several pieces of outdoor furniture. The discs lasted a lot longer than most other discs I've used. Will definitely buy more Diablo discs when these wear out.

Gets the job done
Sanded down red paint on a 30 year old wagon. Seamless use on my Ryobi Random Orbit Sander. The Diablo disc got me down to a great painting surface that allowed a fantastic finish with a Behr paint. I used all the grits in this project pack and recommend it to anyone who has a random orbit sander.
