Harper 1-Light Matte Black Pendant with Metal Shade

The DSI Harper 1-Light Matte Black Pendant with Metal Shade is a good looking light fixture that looks very high end! The real leather strap, although it is a bit orange toned camel color, coupled with the chrome accents and the braided electrical cord make for a very high style look! The only draw back that I can comment on is the metal weight of the shade. It's cheap in comparison to the look of the piece which unfortunately diminishes the overall effect. In total it's still a nice fixture for the price point. Remember to grab a type A bulb as one is not included.

Not a big fan of this pendant lamp. The metal shade is made of pretty thin sheet metal, spray painted black. The leather strap that holds the shade to the light assembly is an odd color, and cheapens the look further. The light socket, that is hanging on the strap, floats in the shade, with no stabilization or bracing. The design relies on the weight of the lamp (and bulb) to pull the strap down hard against the socket, and cause it to center itself. This is not fully achievable due to the lightweight nature of the materials. When you look up at the bulb, you see a bulb that is not centered. i did like the top mount that can be set at an angle to allow for ceilings that are not flat (slanted or angled ceilings).

I am enjoying the ambiance of this light over my dining table. It is great for puzzling and intimate dinners. The dome is very thin and light but has a finish that is easily cleaned while dusting. I really enjoy the design as it's unique and modern and suits my aesthetic. The installation was easy and I replaced out a bulkier light, this one suits a variety of spaces and could be hung from a taller ceiling or a regular ceiling like mine. Multiple lights of this fixture would also be a nice touch in larger spaces, I definitely recommend.

It was beautiful and I loved it but it was too large for my application
