Contemporary 12 in. x 1-1/4 in. Concealed Screw ADA-Compliant Decorative Grab Bar in Chrome

Love the look of the satin finish grab bar. We remodel my Dad’s bathroom and wanted a nice grab bar that didn’t look ugly.

The Delta 18" grab bar is a life saver for my elderly mother that loves baths, but really struggles getting in and out of her bathtub. Now with this grab bar, she is able to pull herself up and balance while stepping in and out of the tub. I located studs behind the tile and drilled pilot holes in the ceramic tile. One end I was able to get 4 screws into a stud and the other end I was able to get two screws through the mounting bracket holes into a stud. It is rock solid and looks awesome in chrome! The grab bar is the perfect diameter and complements the chrome faucet on the tub and bathroom vanity. The Delta grab bar is a great investment in safety and security around wet and slippery areas. I highly recommend!

I found the perfect solution to getting in and out of our family's bath tub. You don't have to be old or in poor health to appreciate a little help getting in and out. It's just a smart thing to add to any home. The added safety it provides, makes it a no-brainer. It took just minutes to install. When no one is using the tub, we hang wash clothes on it and it looks just like a towel bar. The finish is perfect and the quality is superb!

This grab bar was very easy to install and feels incredibly secure after the job is done. Obviously it is designed to withstand body weight and the solid construction does not disappoint. The finish pieces that cover the screws do not come off of the bar, so they will not get lost but may be in the way during installation. Once you have the installation complete, the covers just snap into place for a very clean install. Plenty of anchoring included for the install. My installation was not a typical one - I installed directly on a wood surface. 5 mounting holes for the screws provides so much variety for installation. Also included is all the hardware to make sure you have a secure bar no matter what surface you have - assuming there is at least one very solid connection. The bar is chrome - so not magnetic. It cleans easily with a simple wet cloth and is very easy to grip.

Something to grab onto for leverage and balance, most accidents are from slips , trips and falls. I installed this in our bathroom to help lower and lift up . The bar is very well built, it can be aligned at any angle you wish with concealed screws for mounting , easy to clean keeps its shine. Looks great and it’s sturdy for sure, it’s peace of mind knowing that this is an added device for your safety. Definitely recommend

+heavy, beefy +includes drywall toggle I got a Moen, a few Franklin Brass, and a couple of Delta grab bars over the past few months; all got 5 stars from me but for the black Delta contemporaries -- the finish scratched way too easily on install, and they felt a lot lighter duty than the others, and every screw bent under a hand screwdriver. For whatever reason, this chrome Delta contemporary beats them all. It's reassuringly heavy; I can't speak to the included hardware other than the included drywall toggle seems standard and worthy, as I used 5/8" plastic anchors into brick. The pics show Rogue Paralettes, not terriby light, stored on a Franklin Brass with the same bullseye rose design, identical to this Delta, but I'm glad I'm using this Delta over my kitchen doorway as a pullup bar -- I'll pull bricks down before I damage this bar. If you're going into brick or concrete, and if you're using this as a last-ditch safety measure, I'd put in three of five screws per side -- the holes are so close together, if you put in all five screws as I did with the Delta pullup bar, the holes will bleed together. Redhead A6 or A7 (slow/fast setting) concrete fill seems like the way to go if this is going to support bodyweight regularly; reviewers say it beats lag sleeves -- but, it's pricey for (9oz!) effectively single-use, and you need a heavy duty gun, which I haven't found and am not interested in a pneumatic gun, though I might have to buckle under on both. I used one and a half double-tube packs of J-B Quickweld, specifically lisitng brick as a viable surface, hours apart to fill around 2sqin of what became brick dust under an 18v Milwaukee hammer drill; with brick, the hole spacing means you'll have to go into brick and not just mortar, and my 150+ year old brick doesn't respond well to drilling. Both packs of J-B had big air gaps in the white tubes; I premixed the first pack, but just shot both tubes of the second pack into the rest of the gap and mixed it in the hole, behind the Delta's mounting plate. ~18 hours later, after an alleged 5-6 hour set time, 62f, it's not perfectly set and I can feel and hear grinding when holding bodyweight; the vast majority of the gap is behind the mounting plate, so I still want to avoid mixing a few ounces of concrete, but welding Redhead to brick, steel and semi-set J-B seems like an expensive experiment, so I might have to make a huge mess out of concrete. I have to assume the same will go with stone; my 5/8" anchors are 65lb rated; you can get much smaller anchors, but then you'd have to go on a severe diet before you use any grab bar. A note on the roses: all bullseye roses look and feel tinny; I didn't allow for the extra millimeter when installing the Franklin Brass up to a brick corner, and it took a ton of trial and error chinking out brick to make it fit -- point being, you can not bend these roses at all, they are 100% unforgiving; they have nothing to do with the integrity of the grab bar, but it's nice to know something that could have been made from aluminum foil is unnessessarly bulletproof.

This is the best engineering design from Delta for its  Concealed Screw ADA-Compliant Decorative Grab Bars. It is the easiest design to install, and I love it. It is good to install in the bathroom or by the toilet especially where elderly people are living. All necessary hardware is included in the kit. The instructions are good. I do recommend this to any homeowners who are planning to install a grab bar.

ThinHaus really likes Delta products and we use them in every model we make. Attaching this grab bar to our steel studs provides a really solid grip ... but you can get something close if you follow the directions and find wood studs or even an inter-wall block. As time goes on, more and more folks ask for this in their bathrooms so you can use it now and add to the value of your house later. Nice, clean look and easy to install.

With five mounting holes this Delta contemporary grab bar has the secure mount needed for safety and it comes with good fasteners. Nice, clean design for easy cleaning; no design details to collect shower crud. Only drawback to this type smooth bar design is that the grip is not slip-resistant, a trade-off of sleekness versus function. Shown pre-installed to highlight back side. Recommended!
