Great fireplace. Love all the colors. Good options for customizing. We used all three. Glass shards in glass bag so open over sink and rinse glass pieces. Labeled the remote. Would buy again.

Love the colors and the heat is nice. We had the fake wood in at first, but put the rocks in instead and i think it looks better with the rocks.

It is hot outside and we can enjoy the fire without heat.

We bought this hoping it would bring the ambience of a fireplace to our kitchen, without taking up space or requiring effort. The unit has been a wonderful addition! We have it about one month, and we will be putting it on or in the wall, since the heat comes from the front, we can make it low profile, up where it can be seen from anywhere. We will put a sideboard below, so as not to lose precious storage space. Very happy with this unit. Also, delivery was easy, and even earlier than expected.

Really nice unit, lots of color choices. Puts out enough heat with blower on to take chill out of basement home theater. Install is easy for anyone comfortable useing a drill and saw.

We did a lot of searching for the best manufacturer and Dimplex was by far the best. Next up was which model. After measuring many times we selected the Sierra 48” for several reasons; the ability to switch the logs, glass or stones, the depth of the unit, no need to hardwire and the features on the remote. We designed a fireplace surround and used some pecan wood for the mantle. Installation was a breeze. The flames are realistic and it definitely puts out some heat. Couldn’t be more pleased. Looking forward to many nights with my fire and a good book!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So starting off It took me and my husband approximately 40 minutes from start to finish to put together. The directions were not very clear. It does have a code where you can scan it, but I couldn't get the code to work. So we figured out how to assemble it and we went with the mounting route. Mounting it on the wall was pretty easy. It does have three what look like vents in the front, but only one of them blow out heat the other two are just for looks which are deceiving.I have a 900 square-foot living room that we've mounted this in and within a few hours It took the chill out of the room. It does come with a remote which is pretty convenient. But I deducted one star because the instructions don't tell you what each of the buttons do, It's not labeled. And the touchscreen on the unit is not labeled nor does it tell you on the instructions what the buttons mean either. So after playing with the functions, I find a color I like but then I push a button and Change that setting because it doesn't tell you what the buttons mean. Another star was deducted because when you take the glass crystals out of the bag there are shards of glass everywhere So you must be careful emptying this. You have to manually change the wood to the glass and there is no storage anywhere for these items, You must keep them in a spot not to get lost or damaged. Overall it's a pretty nice looking unit. I don't think it's worth the amount of money. It looks nice but does the same thing a box ground heater would do just without the fancy lights.
