Rubber polishing points are impregnated with abrasive and used to remove rough areas, small burrs and scratch marks
Ideal for cleaning and defining grooves
Polishing points can be used on ferrous materials (those that contain iron)
If swirls remain after polishing, finish the area with a felt polishing wheel
Use higher speeds for hard woods, slower speeds for metals and very slow speeds for plastics (to avoid melting at the point of contact) if chattering occurs, increase speed

A: Howdy AD, This tip is for a dremel tool. It would take a very long time to polish with such a small power tool/tip. The best power tools to polish rims would be a hand power polisher like one of these: http://www.homedepot.com/s/polisher?NCNI-5 happy polishing, Coach Dave

Excellent polishing tool

Tool worked well. Shaft size was listed as for my tool, but was too thin. Simple bit of electrical tape corrected the issue. Worked quite well once I figured that out.
