[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great compact tool, definitely comes in handy when measuring rooms with out needing a tape measure. Package comes with the batteries and 2 attachments. Like the tape attachment to measure round objects. Also the roller attachment is great as well. Either measuring for flooring or walls this tool is very useful for quicker results and less hassle dealing with a tape measure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 3Z Laser Measurer is a great little all around measuring tool... Three different heads to choose from. Laser beam, rolling wheel, or flexable tape. The led digital reader is perfect, and you can store the previous measurement for comparison. Measuring the curves on our boat top was super easy. Had to put a fastener every 6 inches. The flexable tape would have done the job. Chose the rolling wheel with the digital reader. Loved it!! The Laser works best out of bright light. Over all this is a great little tool. Glad I've got it in my Dremel Collection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used the tape attachment to measure the circumference of pipe in photo. Easier than trying to use a regular tape measure. I like the fact that it stores the reading. Very lightweight and compact. Good home use item to have.

If you need some fast measurements for estimating or rough order of magnitude this is a great tool. However it is not that accurate, for example this would be great for estimating how much material you need for a job, however if you are working with someone and calling out measurements for someone to cut, this will not work well as I do not think it will be accurate enough. The wheel feature I did not find useful or accurate at all. The tape feature is cool, although I don't have a use for it yet, I do think it will be great to have. Before I would use a standard tape measure and bend it around. I think this approach is much better. Too bad it did not have markings in the tape. Another great feature is the square foot calculation, it does take a bit of fussing around to get it to work, I kept turning mine off or erasing the measurements. Also, no batteries came with mine, not sure what happened. For the normal home owner or DIY, I think this may be a bit pricey. Realtors should love this to get room measurements quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very cool and useful tool. I like that it is pocket size. The attachments are easy to change out and use. I think the only thing that could make this tool better is if it had a level and maybe a carrying pouch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, this is one of those times that you look at a tools and think you’d NEVER use that, but, when I opened it up and realized what it did, this changes how I measure my projects. The laser is precise, I took a tape measure and compared and it was 100% accurate! Also, the attachments are perfect for odd shaped surfaces or taking measurements for sewing! I am a costume and prop maker so sometimes having to measure surfaces that are not flat, is a real challenge at times. This device is small, able to be added easily to a tool belt. Gone are the days when having to measure with the tape and have it fold in on itself, creating an incorrect measurement.

I checked it to a standard tape measure and found it to be perfectly accurate. We used it for measuring rooms that might be getting new carpet and it was so much quicker and easier than using a tape measure. I also like the attachments for measuring objects that a tape measure can't. This is a great tool to have around the house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I had this measure years ago. As friend gave me this rubber flooring for workshop. My workshop has a lot of stuff in it. I was able to get my measurement in about 30 seconds without moving from the center of the floor. What a great add on to the new way with get measurements,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, what a handy little tool! Leave it to Dremel to come up with a laser measurement solution that not only met my basic needs, but also had me scratching my head as to what else I could use the attachments for! The unit itself comes as a standard laser measurement tool with one button in the center that will give you an accurate measurement all the way up to 65ft which is the equivalent of two standard tape measures and can quickly keep track of two measurements with the touch of a button. If you double tap the center button after both measurements have been made, it multiplies them and gives you an accurate read out. This handy little trick, will give you the square footage of any room. The next two attachments at first went right over my head. For the life of me, I could not come up with any situation where I would need these until, I really thought about it and I was pleasantly surprised. By using the tape measurement attachment, one can quickly and accurately measure the circumference of a pipe or bolt or any fitting adapter, so that when you go to the resources center to grab PVC or copper or pex pipping, you’ll know the exact size you need.you could even use it to gather measurements for clothing! Also In a pinch and without your tape measure for tiling? No problem! Just use the tape adapter! get your measurements and get right back to cutting! Any tile or flooring craftsman would be happy to have this along! I was a tad bit skeptical at first and compared it to my standard tape measure a few times, but I found myself using my tape less and less. The third adapter or ability that this tool came with, was the measurement wheel. It also fits right on top of the unit and can be used to measure uneven surfaces. I do wish the wheel was a tad more grippy, because oftentimes I would feel it slide thus effecting my measurement, but for the most part I felt that it would work great for upholstery or for very small carpentry projects where carving and cutting and adhesive was necessary. It can also be used to cover a wavy surface as well, where as a tape measure would have some difficulty. Over all I felt this tool to be a great addition to the Dremel family. I have found it to be vary accurate and would expect nothing less, knowing that the parent company was “The King” of all lasers. It has made a great addition to my tool collection and I can’t wait to try it out more on other jobs!

I do a lot of 3D drawings for remodels and this tool is very useful when I need to get initial measurements. It is very simple to use. Simply click the button to turn it on. It displays very clearly if your measuring from the front or the back of the device which is very important. It has two extra attachments to measure curved surfaces and a tape measure adapter. It takes two batteries. The red laser is bright to see when used during the daytime. For large distances it is so much easier to use than trying to stretch out an extra long tape measure. It’s little enough to carry in my pocket which is also very convenient.
