Answersyou should check your local electrical codes to see if this is allowed for space heating equipment. This can be physically connected via a receptacle and cord cap of the proper voltage and amperage .

Answersthe second setting (hi) is an auto function if the set point is much higher than the ambient the heater will run on high until temps get closer to the set point

After getting bids to add propane heaters to my 1,800 sq ft detached shop I decided to try this unit first. My shop has 12' insulated ceiling plus insulated walls. It heats the entire shop 10 degrees in an hour. Usually that is as long as I run it. Remote works well. Very happy with it.
