Once a plant overgrows a 2.5 quart container it is moved up a level, and so forth. Each upgrade in size represents time of growth.

Is this a plant that rabbits won't eat?

Rabbits tend to eat more ornamental grasses and stay away from woody plants and bushes once established. Although Newly planted soft branches, flowers and leaves will make a tasty meal for deers and rabbits.

Yes these shrubs require full sun. However, there are a couple of problems here. First is the encore azaleas have a hard time surviving in the New England climate under the best conditions. Summer is probably the worst time to plant them. Spring would be the optimum giving them more time to take root. I lost 3 of these last year similarly to what you describe. All I can say is fertilize them, keep watering, and hope for the best.

We couldn't be happier! We were concerned about buying plants online and having them shipped, but kudos to the packaging engineers and the folks at the greenhouse! The shipping boxes kept the plants safe even if a box was turned upside down or on its side (ours arrived upright). The root container was wrapped in plastic that not only prevented spillage, but also kept the roots moist. We purchased 20 of these little guys to replace drift roses that died of rose rosette disease. Our new azaleas have been in the ground for only a few weeks, but all of them are doing quite well. We're already seeing new blooms, and we're looking forward to an abundance of color once they become fully established.

The plants arrived 3 days after I ordered them, with the pots wrapped in plastic keeping the roots/soil moist. Plants were healthy and looked good. There weren't any dead leaves or branches. Plants were a little smaller than I thought for a 3 gallon container, but overall a very good experience. I'd buy them again.

Very Pleased
We received our plant in 4 days, one day before the website said it would be delivered. It came in pretty good shape, too. There were some spent blooms, but there are also open blooms and some new ones that will be open in the next day or two. Overall, we are very please and look forward to adding it to our landscape!

Carefully packaged and shipped, the azalea had already produced and lost it's spring blooms. I've had it for about a month now. It appears to be healthy and green. Anxiously, awaiting the next bloom cycle.
