Product Details

The EZ Handrail heavy duty aluminum hand rails are perfect for indoor or outdoor installations where an extra hand is needed to prevent falls or just that additional support when heading up a couple of stairs. Made from 100% aluminum alloy for superior strength and sporting a stylish ultra-durable powder coat finish, this hand rail is ready for years of use without the maintenance of repainting due to rust or wood rot. Additionally, the open-ended design allows for integration with other EZ Handrail components to meet most custom hand rail requirements.

Kit includes the 1.9 in. diameter handrail, wall mounting brackets, end caps, and stainless-steel wood fasteners with bolt caps
Mounts at virtually any angle to wood studs, concrete walls or other secure mounting surfaces
100% ADA code compliant
Pre-drilling into the aluminum handrail is required to attach wall brackets, drill bit included
Recommend using tapcon 5/16 in. x 3 in. masonry fasteners for concrete and brick installations (sold separately: EZAT225-W or EZAT225-BZ)

A: Yes, this handrail is paintable. We recommend scuffing the surface and using a solvent paint over the powder coat surface.

A: Yes and the whole system is superb. BTW you can shorten the hand rail with a metal cutting saw - but remove the end cap first.- and then smooth the cut off end inside and outside with a file to allow you to replace the end cap.

A: Hi Rick. If you are attaching the handrail to our 3" x 3" EZ posts, then I recommend the 1/4" x 4" through bolts going through both post walls then a washer and nut. If you cut of the excess bolt the black caps will then hide both the head and nut. If you are going into a thick-wall metal (steel or aluminum) a #14 x 1.5" or 2" self-drilling fastener will work well. I always recommend piloting the hole. Thank you for your question. Dan H. Q:Can you get longer sections? 10 Ft. ? Can you spice sections together ? two 6ft. sections to get 12ft. ?

Instructions were ample and straight forward for the average DIY. Finish and fit really made the project stand out and detail to colored bolt covers is an example. I combined a pressure treated 4x4 with pvc covers/caps for posts and used EZ rail to connect and tie together. Only complaint is the lag bolt needs a SS washer to prevent bolt from chipping bracket base when tightening. Luckily the bolt cover ..well..covered it. Also for the caps I would of preferred a set screw rather than forcefully hammering in the end caps which was difficult. For a painted pipe and brackets the price was average.

I am female average DIYer, and needed to replace wood handrail that rotted. Found EZ Handrail as above average quality (basically a pipe), and moderate assembly ability needed. Need two people to assemble. All parts were included with purchase, thus, loved that I did not need to get extra pieces. Only issue, believe it is a high cost for basic materials. 3 pieces of pipe for $500 is investment. Your paying for convenience. If your looking for handrail that will be around for long period, looks great, and dont have heartburn about cost, then this is for you.
