EarthMark metal raised garden beds are a perfect blend of style and function. Our raised beds are made from galvanized steel that will not warp, crack, or rot and can be recycled at the end of their service life. Our beds come in Low (10 in.) or High (17 in.) sidewalls to accommodate different types of plants. EarthMark beds have been designed with ergonomics in mind, 22 in. beds provide single-sided access, and are ideal for placement against a wall or can be used to form a privacy wall or boarder. 40 in. wide beds provide 2-sided access without needing to step in the bed, keeping the soil loose and eliminating the need to till the soil each year. You will be amazed at the added productivity, accessibility and convenience of growing more with less soil and space. All sizes can be extended by 36 in. increments using our extension kits (sold separately) so the possibilities are limitless. Raised bed gardening provides proper soil drainage and retains warmth for strong root development for improved plant health and yield. These beds are simple to assemble: prepare your site; secure the sides to the corner brackets with 4 bolts per corner, and they are ready for soil and plants. AnswerThey will work just fine. Raised beds seem to require a bit more watering, I would suggest putting wood chips, leaves or other water absorbing compostables down first, then layer on the soil.

This is the second time I have bought these beds - I was so pleased the first time that I decided to expand my garden and ordered more! They are a wonderful alternative to woods that will either rot readily or leach chemicals into the soil and are stronger than vinyl beds. The down side of any raised bed is the amount of soil you need to fill it. I ordered bulk garden soil from the black dirt region near me> Voila! garden ready! Rather than use the inside support system that would interfere with turning the soil, I drove those metal pieces in along the outside to help avoid bowing due to soil weight. I am really quite pleased with these boxes. They look very nice, neat and should last a long, long time.

We are absolutely loving our new galvanized raised beds! I really wanted something that would stand up to our Pacific Northwest's wet weather. Metal was definitely the way to go. These were easy to put together and they look amazing! I've gotten several nice comments about them from the neighbors.

We bought this so our 5-year-old granddaughter could have her own garden. Perfect size; she can reach across it. She helped put it together and we planted it at the end of her birthday party with 3 other kids. The only caveat is to be sure there is adult help to assemble as some of the edges are (understandably) a little sharp. To keep out gophers, etc., Grandpa built a frame out of redwood slats (it sticks out about 1/2" past the metal on the bottom) and stapled on hardware cloth. We put it underneath and put tent stakes through the inside corner holes (already there) to keep it all together and in place. It's so cute!

100% pleased with this raised bed kit! We ordered four and all were well packed, with all needed parts and detailed instructions. Kudos to the designer of this product: everything fit together neatly and the finished beds are sturdy and look terrific. We plan to buy several more of these.

Quick and easy raised bed garden!
This is my third raised bed veggy garden. Needed a smaller one for this perfect spot in my garden. Was easy to setup in about ten minutes I was able to move it into place after I assembled it. Strong steel panel should last for a lot of years. I added a little high heat gasket puddy to prolong life at all joints.

Rust
I bought the 40x112x10 maybe about 4 years ago and the lowest parts that sit on the ground are already rusted through in several places. I live in Tucson Arizona, so no really harsh winters. This happened just from regular watering. I will have to replace the whole thing soon, and might go with Vinyl next time around. I was rally hoping these would last longer.
