As this filter housing can be used with a variety of different filter cartridges, no performance data or certifications are available for the housing itself.

This filter and the filter elements available are more for keeping sediment out of the house water lines. I think you will find the specific calcium line filters are more for refrigerator water supply lines, or water fountains. Any high flow water needs would require a much more extensive system. extensive = expensive system. If you are on a well pump, this filter housing can accept many different common size filters, with different sizes of particle blocking. You can even go for a charcoal element that I've heard can reduce odor in the water. But then, the smaller the filter screen, the quicker it will get blocked and clogged. Your choice. I think they sell systems that can decalcify water, but they are big and require chemicals and multiple stages to be effective. This filter is a good starting point and won't break your budget, but other than fine grit and suspended matter in the water, you need a more specialized system for whole house calcium and lime remediation. You could use a specialized appliance filter added to a "kitchen tap" to get decalcified water for cooking, coffee - and drinking. This product is a filter housing that can be used with a variety of different filter cartridges, most of which are used to remove chlorine and/or sediment from your water. If your water instead contains dissolved calcium resulting in hard water deposits, you may need a water softener.

Any water filter housings can be installed inline. I use three heavy duty DuPont water filter housings inline, the first two being particulate filters and the third being a carbon block filter.

While I haven't any experience doing so I don't see why not. The connection points are standard plumbing hardware. No reason to think you couldn't use different filters in each provided they are available. Probably best to check with the manufacturer regarding this. No reason to think it wouldn't work in an RV provided you have space to mount it.

Never did it. I have installed a whole house sediment filter and then have additional filters for refrigerator ice and water dispenser. In another location I have two filters in parallel for the whole house. A strainer is installed before these filters. I tapped my outside water lines after the strainer but before the whole house filters. You might consider your series arrangement to have the sediment on the water source and then tap off after the sediment filter for toilets and washing machine etc. Then the .05 micron and then charcoal for appropriate uses. good luck.
