BEAUTIFUL LIGHTWEIGHT STAINLESS STEEL SINK
As you can see in the picture, this is a beautiful stainless steel sink. I have always thought that stainless steel meant very strong steel that doesn't bend and doesn't rust or discolor. That's not true with this sink. It is made from 22 ga. steel which is pretty thin. The industry has been moving to thinner steel sinks for many years and that's good and bad. The good part is they are a lot lighter and can be installed easier. Also it is cheaper to produce keeping the prices down. The down side is they are more fragile. More care is needed to keep the beautiful brushed shine on the surface and ensuring that you don't bend it (by not pushing too hard on the faucet handle or dropping iron skillets on it). The list provided on care and cleaning of your sink is full of "Do's" and "Don't" but most of it is common sense stuff.
Installation is fairly easy. The provided instructions are simple and adequate. Cutting the hole in your counter top is the most critical part. 'Measure twice, cut once' is important here. The hardware is included and simple to use. You will have to provide your own calk.
If you want a beautiful stainless steel sink, but don't want to spend a lot of money and are willing to put the effort into keeping your sink beautiful, this one is for you.

Upgrade to better quality - this one rusts
I'm so disappointed that this brand new sink started rusting within 2 months of use. It always looks spotty as well and tends to hold water under the faucet between the sinks. We are constantly wiping it down. We have rust spots all over the sink all the way around but I was only able to upload one photo with this review.

Thank you for letting us know about your experience. Sometimes this can just be surface rust from high iron in the water. We also recommend not leaving items in the bottom of the sink, as they can also be a cause of rust. Silverware, for example, can start to rust on the surface of the sink and leave a stain that gives the appearance that the sink is rusting.
