Q:I looked at your installation guide and there is no template to print out or use. I am following the instructions and you mention only to trace and then go in 5/16? of that trace which seems rather small and cutting a lot more material out than needed.

Nice Sink but beware!
Been doing the kitchen renovation and through all the sinks I liked this one the most. I had to order the sink which took time to be delivered. But what got me the most is that for the expense you are paying for this sink, they do not include a template. Which I am really upset about. They give clear instructions but that is a lot of prep work. The other thing is that this sink is big! I had gone with laminate counter tops and new cabinets. This sink eats every inch! So just be careful.

Disappointed. First day washing my crock pot bowl it actually scratched it. Isn't a month old and looks used up. I didn't think it would scratch that quick. I've had an older one for years and it doesn't looks scratched like the new one. Things sure are costing more money and getting cheaper made. I was so excited to have this new one. Not so much. The size is great. That's about it. Wish I would of just saved my money and kept my old one.

Deep sink and quality made in USA
I really appreciate quality workmanship. The small details in manufacture matter. In the photos you can see the smoothness around the faucet mount holes and the consistency of stamping around the drain. Sounds basic but it isn't and this is where you see a difference to the cheap sinks and the market. It matters a lot when you want the drain to seal well and stay watertight. The sound deadening mat is more effective than spray on undercoat to fight noise. They also did a nice job in the packing materials, this sink was well protected. This sink is deeper too which comes in handy when you need to work with deep pots or cleaning appliances that can't go in the dishwasher.

Great size
This stainless steel single bowl sink is a great size for a small studio apartment kitchen. We have a hallway double closet that we are using for a laundry room and this will be a great addition. It has 4 holes, 3 for the faucet mechanism and one for soap, lotion or a sprayer. We will be installing a sprayer so it will make it easier to clean the 25” deep bowl. It comes with the clips and screws to make it an easier installation.

Nice, deep single bowl stainless sink
We had a shallow bowl sink in a cabin that was a little too shallow for bigger pans. This Elkay sink makes a great replacement for it and gives us another 2 inches of depth. The finish is very nice - polished around the top and brushed in the bowl. It comes with the under sink clips to hold the sink in place so I only needed the silicone sealant for the edges & faucet mount, a new drain and plumber's putty to put the drain in. I put a new faucet in as part of the upgrade and I'll put a soap pump in the 4th hole when I remember to take it with me. (I forgot it for the installation.) It makes a great improvement in this little kitchen.

Great Sink
We chose the
Elkay-Elkay Pergola 20-Gauge Stainless Steel 25 in. Single Bowl Drop-in Kitchen Sink, Silver to replace our old sink. We love the look of the stainless steel, which matches the other appliances in our kitchen. The quality of material is outstanding and the directions are very easy to follow. We love how easy it is to clean and keep clean. It took around 45 minutes to remove the old sink and replace with this sink. This is a great choice to make your kitchen look more modern and also a great way to keep things looking clean.

Low Budget Utility Sink
This sink replaces a highly worn stainless sink for our laundry room. Shiny and nice looking when new of course.
What we like:
1. Budget priced from a well-known manufacturer.
2. Single hole means no need to add a faceplate when using a single stem faucet.
3. For a sink of modest proportions, it has a larger 9” deep basin to accommodate bigger vessels and pails, and it helped to contain most water overspray, sparing the surrounding counter from getting wet.
4. It is lightweight, which made it easy to handle for pre-assembling the drain and faucet on a countertop, prior to setting the sink into the counter and making the final plumbing connections.
What could be improved:
1. There is a metal “U Channel” welded to the underside of the sink near the outer edge of the sink. Apparently, it is there to offer structural support, but it makes installation more cumbersome leaving little margin for error and a small space between the U Channel and the edge of the sink. Perhaps use of a heavier gage metal would eliminate the need for this channel.
2. A counter cutout template is NOT provided. The written installation instructions were of limited value (it suggested using the sink to trace 2 lines). The manufacturer should provide a template. Creating a cardboard template might help to avoid expensive mistakes.
3. The one-year warranty seems rather nominal for a product that operates in a static environment. It suggests to me that this is a light duty product.
This is a good budget sink. There are sound-deadening pads adhered to the backside, although I could not distinguish their effectiveness. The product is sold as a bare sink and does not come with drain accessories or a faucet, so if you are not deploying your existing ones, avoid another trip to the store by purchasing them in advance. I would recommend this product for light applications and/or for sinks that get less frequent use.

The mounting clips included slide into the channel and then clamp to the bottom of the countertop. This both secures the sink in place to the countertop and pulls the rim of the sink flush to the countertop. We typically do not provide a countertop cutout for drop-in models, as the sink can be used per the install instructions to trace and measure out the cutout. Simple SS Kitchen Sink
We have used these same sinks in a few rental unit upgrades within the past year or so. Drop in installations tend to be faster and less work for us. Most DYI-ers could handle it ok. Although this is 20 - gauge SS (lighter weight) we haven't had issues from tenants regarding performance, thus far. The depth of the sinks are good for cleaning even large pots and pans , etc. They work well for utility sinks, as well. I chose the 25 inch model for installing in a space where counter space is minimal. Sound reduction pads help with noise, too. Overall, this brand is well worth initial costs for budget minded folks.

Beautiful sink
This sink is much nicer than I thought it would be. It is a single bowl. 20 gauge stainless steel and is a drop-in sink with 4 holes already cut for a faucet, hand soap, etc. It measures 25 inches by 22 inches by 9 inches deep, which is a great size for most kitchen needs. The interior of the bowl has rounded corners to make it easier to clean; it has a nice satin finish with a 3-1/ 2-inch drainage hole. It comes with installation instructions.
