    Answer This Question

A:  Hi Kathy, Thanks for reaching out! If I am understanding correctly that you'd like to use them as single panels, rather than attaching the two panels together, the simple answer is yes. That being said, we do recommend that you reinforce each panel for stability. This can be easily done by installing rebar in the ground through each post of each panel. Thanks again for reaching out! Best, Andrew

      Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for reaching out! This product has not been weight tested in order to confirm how much load it could handle. That being said, I have seen customer photos with hanging plants attached. I believe if you reinforce your posts in the ground with rebar then you could most definitely hang small potted plants from the top rail. Best Regards, Kayla Wallace

Great for Privacy or yard divider
Not hard to put together. Just takes a little time and some mechanical ability would help. Make sure you have a large flat surface to assemble product. Adding at least two screws fasteners to each side helps with stability.

            Perfection.
This is a phenomenal piece of kit. They are extremely easy to put together and it couldn't look any better. A few notes: 1) setting fence posts is hard work - there's no magic to make it easy 2) be sure to use a chalk line 3) they don't provide connectors to combine more than one kit 4) if there's a boulder a PVC stake isn't going through it :)

I love the look of these lattice privacy screens and I have enjoyed other Zippity fencing products. However, this kit took much longer than the 90-minute assembly that was stated. There are 74 plastic parts to assemble and 20 screws are included. I like that the Philips screws are stainless steel with white heads. I was disappointed with the strength of the side posts that are too flexible and with the 14 horizontal pickets that are too short to stay in the side post slots. I have not yet figured a way to secure these pickets to the frame. These privacy screens have a 10-year warranty against cracking, yellowing, or degrading from the sun.

Assembly is easy but very time consuming. Impressed with the fit quality of the parts. Attractive. This is a quality product, no doubt. There are a lot of parts to put together, almost like a weaving project. If the parts were not machined well, it would be a nightmare. Instead, the machining and routing of the pieces is very precise, so ultimately it fit together very easily. But it will take time to put together so many parts! The instructions are very good and say 90 minutes. Believe it. My first panel took almost 45 minutes. Once you do one, you'll know how to do the second and that one only took me 20 minutes. The rest of the time was doing the final assembly and placement. The panels are very attractive and perfect to hide just about anything 4 ft high or lower. NOTE: this product is primarily designed to be inserted INTO SOIL. The instructions go into depth on inserting the feet into soil, and how to do it. (Make a pilot hole, soak the soil, etc.) I plan on installing mine on a hard surface and I'm still working out how to do that. The feet come off easily so that won't be a problem. Made in China

I rate this Lattice Privacy Screen Kit as a FOUR because of the time and effort involved in putting it together The quality deserves a FIVE once assembled, but the box of parts is a bit overwhelming. I have put together a lot of "stuff" but this box looks the worst when opening it. The instructions say it will take 90 minutes to install -- assembling the first section took nearly that amount of time -- still have another just like it to assemble; then have to dig the holes, set the short posts and anchor the two sections together. Aligning 13 slats into each side post at once is a challenge for one person; same for the 9 vertical slats into the top and bottom rails. Once assembled, I like the look of these two sections for masking the visibility of our propane fuel tank near the garage deep in our back yard. It will be just the right height and add a clean look. Will be low maintenance going forward -- just a routine power washing.

This Zippity brand Highland vinyl privacy lattice screen kit took about 45 minutes to assemble each of the two fence panels (just as estimated in the instructions, including time to count all the parts). There are 94 pieces in this fence kit (including screws). There is a very helpful video about the assembly of his product on the Home Depot website that guides you through the assembly in a way that is better than the written instructions provided with the kit. As a suggestion, I recommend that you first separate out the parts for each of the two fence sections so the number of parts is not too overwhelming. I put each section together on half of a ping pong table to save bending over, and it was just the right size for one fence section (see pictures). Next, I suggest you group together all the 10 vertical spindles as I show in the picture below so that you can insert the 14 horizontal pickets more easily (see picture). The parts are very well-marked so it is easy to tell the top and bottom horizontal rail apart. The instructions do give some good suggestions for inserting the spiked posts into the ground in hard soil, such as using a tulip bulb auger drill attachment if you have one (I did). Taking into account that the posts are plastic and cannot really take too much pressure or stress, you really do need to prepare the holes for the posts with care. Overall, this is an attractive screening fence when it is completed, the instructions (including the video) are good, and the parts are well-marked. As a do-it-yourselfer and homeowner for over 40 years, I have assembled a lot of home products, and while this product was complex to assemble, it had good directions and good fit of all parts. The fence kit did have a lot of pieces, but in the end it turned out to be a nice-looking fence. So, on that basis, I still recommend the fence kit.

It took a while getting it put together, yes, but it looks so awesome when it's finished... I have one more panel which will be put in the ground soon, but I have one of the panels up, and it looks great! The initial putting pieces together took me about 2 1/2 hours, but it was done much more quickly with the second. The directions are pretty comprehensive, so read them well before starting. My husband helped me get the other pieces together, once the lattice work was done, and as with most projects, he just went wham, wham, wham, and it really worked! At first you'd think that each upright piece has to be carefully lined up with the holes before you can put it together, but this was one of those jobs where husband was right. Just hit the top rail with a big hammer, and then the upright lattices will just pop right into line - with your encouragement. A lot easier to do than I'd have thought! Also, I was amazed at how little material/cardboard the packaged product needed...no parts missing, no parts left over - good!

I wasn't prepared to completely build two panels; I thought they would at least be partially assembled, but this is a COMPLETE kit with EVERYTHING in separate pieces!! Even though these turned out to be exactly what I hoped, this kit is definitely over-priced for the amount of assembly required. The engineering was pretty close with only 3 or 4 predrilled holes not lining up exactly. It took me one hour to assemble the first panel and 45 minutes for the second panel. I was hoping they would be tall enough for one panel to camouflage the utility hookups by my front door and still allow the electric meter reader access for reading my meter when necessary. I installed them with only 6" of the posts in the ground and could still pound them in a couple more inches without compromising the "camouflage." I'm still curious how they will fare in a strong wind.

The Zippity Outdoor Products 4.8ft H x 3ftW White Vinyl Highland -lattice privacy screen kit (2-pack) PVC is a very versatile unit. It was a bit difficult to put the first one together but the second one was much easier . as you knew what to expect. These panels can be used to screen unsightly items such as garbage cans or air conditioning units or to give you a sense of privacy on a deck or porch such as we did. The vinyl is easy to clean and should last many years to come. It comes with stake so it can be staked into the ground but i doubt unless your soil is soft that it would be very easy to pound them into the ground.. We used them to raise the panels up to give us more privacy .

This worked great to cover some unsightly cable and power boxes on the side of my house. These were fairly easy to build and look very nice once installed. While these look great they don't seem to have a lot of strength, when I mount it in the ground it feels a tad unstable, maybe more screws or glue may help me feel better about it. Also as shown in pictures the center PVC pieces are just barely long enough to fit in between both posts, I really just noticed this while i was building it and it was on its side. This set came shipped very efficiently, pieces were nested in each other. I really love the look overall and may purchase a few more I feel once my vines grow on them it will look phenomenal.
