    A:  Thie model has a standard 6 feet of electrical cord. You can use an extension cord, however you must ensure that it is a sufficient gauge for 1500 Watts. That will be a minimum 14 gauge wire, and 12 gauge is even better if you need a long distance.

        Overall the product has nice features, like a light, two heat settings, and especially a remote. Unfortunately the infrared (from any source) warms only exposed skin, which means that in an even slight breeze one can get cooled down quickly. This is best installed in an area that is sheltered from any breezes at all. I am keeping the unit, as I think that it will be most effective on cool summer nights.
